Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

I took my exam this morning and I am in AGONY over here!!..I am receiving the "good pop-up" but it's still not calming my nerves!!!..I had so many SATA's and DRUGS that I thought was going to have an anxiety attack!!..This is going to be the longest 48 hours of my life!!..UGH!!..

Does anyone know of an individual who received the "good pop-up" but didn't pass???

Ugh! Stop worrying! You passed! I already told u this! Gosh! Hahaah :p

I just took the exam this morning at 8am and got cut off at 75 questions. I was sure that I was doing terrible on the test and was terrified to try the "trick". I went home and tried it and got the good pop up! Hoping to have confirmation of the good news in a couple of days. For now it's not even 11am and I've already poured my first rum and coke for the day, I'm going to celebrate!:jester:

congrats ! go celebrate... i took my nclex-rn on the 23rd, got cut off at 75 as you did! went home and did the PVT and got the good pop up! on the 26th my quick results were up and i PASSED!:D the pvt does work.....(i also have a friend who got the credit card pop up and got her quick results and failed:crying2:) so congrats again on such a big accomplishment! all of your hard work paid off!!!!:yeah:

PVT TRICK WORKS I took my test July 15 2010 just got my results and I PASSED!! I got the good pop up so far for everyone in my graduating class 15 people tried pvt and it worked for them..Either failed or passed.. If u got the good pop up im sure you passed 100%

ok im on the site now..is this the review that u can chose from 3,5,8, or 15 weeks course??? any recommendations on how long I should register for..I paid for my new test already today so i figure i have at the very least 45-50 days before i can re test..but i do not want to do a 3 week review and then not have it available up to my test date...hmmm

@erinrp I don't know if anyone answered you. I took the 8 wk review and was pretty busy with it. It expired 1 wk before my test. I took a lot of notes and copied and pasted some of their charts to review later. Since you recently had nursing school, maybe the 5 wk would be better. My refresher course didn't cover everything (nursing grad. 1982) so I had to spend a little more time on learning some of it. The last week I reviewed my notes, labs and did lots and lots of questions ( a lot of LaCharity), infection control and endocrine (which I am weak at). I tried to study 4-5 hrs a day ( with breaks). If I didn't understand a process or something in the review, I looked it up online for an easier explanation or picture. Hope this helps.:)

I'm right there with you Erin :crying2:

Update:

The PVT worked for me, but unfortunately I failed. I have already signed up for NCSBNs 8 week course and I'm hoping that helps a lot. Looking back I didn't study as I should have, I guess. Anyway, I will retake in 45 days and I don't think I'm going to do the PVT, just in case. As my RN mom says, "What do they call a nurse that takes to boards more than once? They are called nurses."

PVT definitely works.....I've taken the nclex twice. The 1st time I got the cc page and I failed, 2nd time I got the good popup and I just found out today I passed:dncgbby:

Hi Everyone!

I took the NCLEX exam on the 24th. Got the good pop up when i got home. Still wasnt convinced cause it was a saturday. Cali doesnt participate in quick results, so the wait is horrible! But... good news, i checked the BON website Tuesday morning, (exactly 2 business days) and i have an Active RN license in Cali!!!! :yeah::nurse:. I called just to verify it and he said it is meeeee! Said the license is mailed through another company so it may take 2 to 3 weeks to arrive! I am so excited! The PVT does work! This is my second attempt...the first time i got a pop up thinking i passed, and the pop up said my results were on hold. So although it didnt send me to the cc page, i still did not pass. So be sure its the GOOD pop up, and not just a pop up! Good luck to all of you future RN's and congrats to all of you current RN's!

i took the nclex-pn on tuesday. it shut off @ 85. i tried the trick and it's 3 days now and it's still giving me the "good pop-out window" thing. it's a roller coaster of emotion to tell you honestly. i had alot of infection control/transmission based questions, prioritizations, endocrine, a few meds and a couple of math questions. i felt good about the test but, really... i am not sure anymore. and to make matters worst, is that... why the heck VN's get to have their results 3-4 weeks and RN's 24-48 hours only? like that's whaaackkk! anyways, the good thing about the trick is it's giving me some hope... a good hope that i passed it.

This is my first post after many semesters of just reading as a nursing student! I was definitely one of those people who were skeptical of the PVT, but it DOES work! I took the boards yesterday and was absolutely convinced that I had failed. The computer FINALLY stopped me after 160-something questions (I had stopped counting after 150). You know that feeling of despair and devastation everyone feels after they take their boards... yup, walked out totally depressed and defeated. Even though I got the good pop-up, it did little to comfort me. Thankfully, I got the awesome news this morning that I had PASSED!!!!!! Thank god VA posts your license the next day if you passed and their was my name and license number on the little screen of my smartphone :p:):):)

I'm offically an RN! Congrats to everyone who also got some good news :yeah:

Its true guys! The PVT works! After 48 hours of getting the "good pop-up" but not believing it....I got my QuickResults and I passed! Good luck everyone :)

I sat to take my NCLEX at 8.00am and finsihed at about 9.30am after 75 questions. Just tried the PVT and I got the good pop-up! I have a friend that did the trick, got the good popup and passed, then I have one that got the bad popup and failed...... I'm hopeful that I passed so I'm doing the happy dance!!!!!

:yeah:

I'm going to vote after I get the "official" results!
