Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

When it asked you the 3 yes/no questions how did you answer them?

I answered, Yes, Yes, No. After reading your post, I wondered if it would make a difference in the answers, so I answered Yes, No, Yes, and still got the "good pop up" My fingers are crossed, and I'm praying this is good.

Good Luck SoSimplyMe!! I just got done taking the test and can't believe how difficult it was!! I felt well prepared and wasn't worried about passing the exam at all prior to testing. Well, when I walked out of the exam, I was like *****! LOL!!

Anyways, I tried the PVT and I got the "good pop up." Hope if works for the both of us!! Surely we aren't the first two people in history to have the PVT backfire!! RN sounds great! Wow, what a tough test!

OMG. I am hyperventilating. I do not know if I passed or failed. I felt with certainty that I failed while taking the test. When my screen appeared blue and the test shut down at question 75, I was in shock. I just now finished the test about an hour and a half ago. I am getting the good pop-up, but I don't want to get my hopes up. This is going to be a nerve wrecking wait to find out whether I passed or not.

If anyone is from Texas, how long does it usually take for the board to have the license number ready?

I'll let you in on a little secret. I took my nclex yesterday morning and did the pearson trick, looked to see if my GN status was still intact on the board, and was still on pins and needles. So I called the BON about noon today, 24 hrs later, to ask how long it would take for them to retract the GN status if someone failed. I gave the lady my name, ssn, and bday and told her when I took the test, bless her heart, and after holding for a moment she came back on the phone and said "you passed." Unbelivable! I love this lady! Just calling and asking the next day was the fastest way to figure it out for me. Don't know if they are supposed to or not but it may be worth a try for you. Good luck.

Oh yea, I am also from Texas and it was our BON that helped me out.

as for the license number to be ready, she said about 2 weeks.

Oh yea by the way... for this posting... The trick worked for me!

Just to add to the list....the PVT worked for me! Got the good pop up on Tuesday, July13 after taking the boards and found out this morning I passed. Yeah!!

Thank you! Good luck to you as well. Let's just be optimistic, and say we won't be in the 0.01 percentile that this doesn't work for.

Wow. Ok, I checked and I am still intact on the board with GN status. Hopefully this means that I passed. I'm super nervous. I wonder if I call tomorrow would they be able to tell me.

I took the NCLEX today at 2p in G'ville , Florida. I had 265 questions + 4.5 hours of pure terror. I have been a basket case. I tried the PVT and I got the "good" pop-up. I hope it is true! Will post if I pass/fail. This has given me some hope though. I still can't sleep but I am not as nervous as I was before I tried the PVT

I'm so sorry to hear that... Keep your head up, and continue sacrificing as you have been doing as of yet. You WILL be successful.

Daniel

I have exactly 6 1/2 more hours until I'm able to find out. EEeeekkk!!! I'm freaking out. Up until now I was pretty calm, but now I feel like a child fighting her sleep. I will let you guys know how it goes...good luck to those of you who are waiting like me!

All i can say to you guys no matter how many times you fall, just get back up and try again. I personally feel if i went through those torturing years studying to be a Rn and i passed all my classes and graduate then this test cant scare me, because WE ALL know the material we just tend to be a lil shaken up when it is the actual time to take the exam, so congrats to all of you who pass and those who didnt pass , keep trying you will def get there with God's help, oh yeah one last thing i will def come back to keep you guys posted , thanks and have a great day guys!

My daughter said she did not register through the pearsonvue website. She said she spoke with someone on the phone, at least that's the way I took it.

Is is possible a person can register on the site "after" taking the boards, then try the "trick"?

Thanks.........jan
