Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Ok, does Pearson ever make mistakes with the scores? I orginally took the NCLEX in June and failed after 247 questions. After failing I did a lot of studying, used Kaplan and Mosby and felt really good going into my retake on 08/05. For the retake, I was done after 75 questions in 59 minutes. I seemed to have a lot of SATA questions and felt really confident about the questions I answered. When I looked at my unofficial score today, it said I failed... I don't understand what I could have done wrong. I'm hoping that maybe it's a mistake on their part and will be fixed soon. The only other reason I can think of is maybe they thought I cheated because my first test was 247 questions and I failed, but this test was only 75 questions? Pretty stressed here and my eyes are hurting from crying so much already.

well i took the nclex-rn yesterday and my test stopped at 75 questions. Wow it was hard. I had a lot of pharm, dosage calculations, SATP, and priority type questions. The only ones I felt good about was the math. I tried to register and i got the good pop up box..fingers crossed!!! My LPN nclex was definetly not as hard as that..ugh:idea:

hang in there blueprint. One thing I hear throughout the posts is that the harder the test the better you doing. From what I understand easy questions are not passing type questions.. anyway fingers crossed. did you pay for the quick results and it said you failed or is that your official results?

I took the Nclex RN on aug 2, 2011...got the good pop up 20 minutes later when i got to a computer and found out 3 days later I passed by finding my name on the

CA BRN.

I took my Nclex-pn thursday. Today is monday and i went and tried the pervue trick. This is the pop up I got "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time."

Is this still the up in the air Fail/Pass? Or is this bad news:crying2:

Just an FYI, I took my test in Anaheim on 7/21 and my name was listed on the CA BON on Tues 7/26. And I received my official RN license ID in the mail today, 7/28. Hopefully, yours will come soon! The good pop up works! :)

I havent had time to write until now, but I PASSED!!! thanks for your note. I found out at 2 am Sat. 30th. I am not sure why the board would update on a Sat. but Im not going to complain :yeah:. Anyhoo, now I feel REALLY good about having 76 ?s on the exam. I was pretty bummed when I thought I failed.

Congrats to you too. Hows the job search going? do you have anything lined up?

Many blessings to you!

YEAH!! Congratulations!! Isnt it just the best to see your name!! Blessings to your career! :yeah:

Thank you so much, what a relief. my mom is waiting for my call now. and I hope she can come here soon , since she is in the Philippines, and its been 2 yrs that I did not see her, this time I can go home and hug her, this is what Ive been waiting for. Its my second time to take the xam.coz my goal. I will not go home not until I pass it. so I hope this is it. to see her and my brothers. I missed them so much, thank you guysssss .. sniff.. sniff

I got the good pop up too right away, but my name didnt show up on the Ca BON for 9 days :uhoh3:. Worst week of my life...but im an RN now :lol2:. So, hang in there. The good pop up worked for me too . God bless!!

Found out today that I passed my boards. What a relief!!!. I was already working as a Graduate Nurse so it would have been a real blow to have failed and to have to go back to being an aide. This is the culmination of being laid off in December of 2007 and the three year journey of nursing school prerequisites, nursing school, working full time as an aide and studying my butt off the entire time. I HAVE MADE IT!!!!!!! Passing the NCLEX is such a weight off of my shoulders. I feel like I can breath again. Good luck to all of you who have yet to take it. Study hard, it will pay off.

congratulations!! I studied from the Sauders too, answered a couple thousand ?s too and have to say that, although the Sauders is bascially our career in a book, the NCLEX questions were seriously gnarly!! my computer shut off at 76 questions and I thought i had failed for sure. But, i passed!! Praise the Lord!! I still am not quite sure what they are looking to acomplish with the NCLEX...maybe they what to see how we do in situations that are above our head and knowledge base...who knows. But, WE PASSED!! :lol2:

I just took the Rn boards today at 8am in MA and I did the "trick " right when I got home I got the good pop up......Is this for real?
