Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

What does it mean if it says....

"Candidate currently has an open registration at this time. A new registration can not be completed at this time."

That's the message my friend keeps getting and it doesn't match either one of the messages that are listed.

Does it say "Delivery Successful" in the status window? It sounds like the message from results that have not been processed and sent. Her results may be on hold or she may just have to wait until it says "Delivery Successful."

What if it says.... Candidate currently has an opened reg at this time. A new registration can not be completed at this time.

Is that a good pop-up?

Yes it says... delivery successful.

No. U gotta wait for few more hours to days to check it again. It should say "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time." That's the good pop ub because it will block u from registering/paying for the retake.

Well if the message says " our records indicate that you currently scheduled this exam. Please contact your board member for further assistance. A new registration cannot be made at this time." that's the good pop up. However, on the status it has to say "successfully delivered."

Okay. I feel bad because I told her about this good pop up thing and now she's still uncertain! It was clear for me that I had the good pop up because it was word for word. Thanks for your help!

I took my NCLEX-PN 6/25/2011 and got the "good pop up." Checked my passing status 48 hours later on the Pearson website and passed! I was skeptical at first, but it did work. I will definitely use this trick when I take my NCLEX-RN next year.

Good luck everyone!!

hello everyone!

i recently finished my nclex-rn exam on saturday. from the 25th to the morning of the 28th (today), i tried the pearson vue "trick." every few hours i tried it [i was very eager and anxious], i received this message, "the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time." i then tried it again this afternoon about 2:30 p.m. and received this message, "our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time."

i'm thinking i passed....i'm hoping i passed...and i will be giving you all an update soon. so unless anyone out in the world has taken this exam, tried the 'trick', received the message about not being able to register and did not pass... let me know!!

wish me luck!

What does it mean when it says in red 'your exam results are not available at this time?' it says delivery successful but brings me to the credit card page when I try to register. I feel confident that I passed, but does this mean I got a bad pop up?

Unfortunately, if it let's you go to the credit card page, that is the bad message, indicating failure. The message in red refers to your quick results which are not available until 48 hours after you ended the exam.

Are you answering the registration questions as though you failed the exam? ("Have you ever taken the nclex before?" Answer: Yes).

No, I answered them as if I was registering for the first time. Does that make a difference?

Actually, I just tried it again on my account answering the questions as though it was my first time. It doesn't make a difference in the pop-up, sorry. Maybe you will be one of the people that the PVT doesn't work for...
