Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

The only thing that saved me was that I did not panic. I kept really cool and just focused on the question at hand. No negativity at all. Hopefully that pays off soon.

Just as a FYI for everyone waiting on their "quick results" to post. I was dying all day Thursday, waiting and waiting. I never got my results once I got to the 48 hour mark of my appt time, I got on live chat, and he told me that you have to wait 48 hours from the time your test shut off on you. :( I was going crazy! I stopped my test roughly about 3:10pm, and exactly at 3pm, my results posted. They also told me, that the computer is programmed to release your results at the appropriate time, so I don't think anyone has to worry about the 4th of July and getting the results!

Figured I would let you know, just in case any of you are going through what I was! LOL

I wish you all the best! Good luck, and CONGRATS to everyone who already is a RN! :nurse:

I got my quick results for the NCLEX RN and I passed! Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah! It was an hour late from when your original scheduled date to take the exam (I had my exam on Jul 1). So if any of you are tight on time, do the Quick Result an hour later from your ORIGINAL scheduled time and NOT when you took it (say you came in early and took it). Just a brief summary on me. I finished with 75 questions and got the good popup, this was my 1st time taking the NCLEX RN. The PVT good popup is 1000% right so far since I've been reading all the entries since 2 days ago. I have a wife and 3 kids so studying for me was hard. I did like 500 questions and studied only 2 days before the exam intensely with the notes from the "FACTS THROWING" FORUM. Those are the only notes I used and the mnemonics are incredible. It saved my life. I also used the ATI Comprehensive review book, it's very condensed and that made me more at ease to open it (even though it's limited with information but direct and HAD THE BASICS, just enough info to build my confidence. To be honest, no matter how much you know, the NCLEX RN is a test of FAITH and WILL. After the first question, you think you got it wrong then the computer will test you even further for 74 more questions. If your WILL doesn't give in, you WILL PASS! By the way, I was a A student in school and never had problems. But for the NCLEX RN, that statistic is "thrown out the window." I think the exams tests overall, can you handle the PRESSURE when you get questions that you don't know. How will you react? I LOVE EVERYBODY ON THIS FORUM. If it were not for this FACT THROWING FORUM and NCLEX discussion forum, I would be a mess. Please everybody chip in some way. I still can't believe I PASSED THAT EXAM. The feeling is surreal. REMEMBER, your test of STRENGTH AND CHARACTER is what the NCLEX RN is all about! Have a wonderful July 4th for all those that PASSED and everyone that are still in the hunt. I was definitely PREPARED to take this exam again if I failed. I would have ACCEPTED because I can't give up due to my family support and understanding. Please everyone DON'T ever give up no matter if you failed the 20th time. IT'S only testing your WILL FOR the 20th time and not what you know. Thank you once again.

Christina,

I'm very happy for you. I know how precious your kids are compared to the NCLEX RN. If you got the good popup, rest assured you PASSED! Make a difference in your patients lives is what's the most important. Have a wonderful 4th of July.

I agree with nucjoe76, no matter how much you know this test is really about your ability to withstand pressure. do what makes you comfortable to review and then, get in there and knock that bad boy out!!! i felt the same way, that i was fully prepared to take this exam again. you will feel so much better when its over. I got the good pop up, no official results yet. took it yesterday at 2pm. from eveyone says, i feel comfortable (tho not completely) with my popup result. now, on to the biggest hurdle of all...finding a job!!! i feel like after the nclex, we have just 2 more hoops to jump through. find a job and getting through the 1st year... once we hit that point,, its a cake walk. and i like cake. :)

How long do I have to wait to find out if I do not pay for quick results? It says the results are 'unofficial' and I don't want to pay for something that isn't official. I am in FL.

Florida usually shows something 24-48 hours although I don't think they work on a weekend therefore may not see results until Tuesday, depending on when the BON updates their website

Did you pass???? I'm dying to know if it DOES go to the CC page if it really means you failed...I hope it does not mean that for your sake. All the best!

PVT is TRUE TRUE TRUE!!! Took my test 6/30. Found out 7/3 I PASSED via BRN CA license verification! What a huge relief. Its amazing that you can leave a test receiving 265 ?'s and feel so bad about yourself. I knew nothing. Guessed on 262/265 questions. I'm so glad nursing school came in handy for this exam...NOT!!!

PVT is true!! California sucks for not having quick results. But glad they at least post a license online within a few days!

Well exactly 48 hours after my appointment time I found out I PASSED. PVT works. The girl I took the test with got the CC page and no word from her yet. I will follow-up on her status when I find out. :dncgbby:

I took my test this past Friday and came home and went onto P.V. and I got the pop up blocker and I passed!! So it does work and it relieved alot of my stress before I checked my results. Good Luck to everyone who will be taking it and try the trick because "it does work". Yay:yeah::nurse::nurse:

I took my exam yesterday (Friday) at 8am... I've NEVER had test anxiety, but that lil' mouse was shaking like crazy. LoL. When it went past 75 I thought I'd die! I believe it shut off at 150. It took everything I had NOT to breakout in tears in the middle of the testing center. I remembered reading about pvt waaaaaaaay back at the beginning of nursing school. So, I went straight home stalked every blog about pvt (still am). I tried it. I got the good pop up. Sweet baby Jesus, I hope it is for real... I truly pray.
