Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

I was told that its not the amount of questions you get its how difficult they are. I got really easy questions the first try, low level questions.Computer shut off at 88 questions. My anxiety over took my confidence and I rushed through the questions. This time I studied more, took the Kaplan class (classroom) and took all the question trainers & all 1175 Qbank questions plus Lippincott 3500 cd. I over killed to boost my confidence and prove to myself I could do this. I spent 2.5 hrs on 75 questions. I started to get so tachycardiac I had to break at question 61, I went to the br practiced OB breathing-LOL- it works; drank some water, took more deep breaths and went back infront of my firing squad. The last 15 questions I took the most time on. I figured if the computer was going to shut off for one of two reasons to judge- either 75 questions were enough or I was going to run out of time. I used the Kaplan strategy for each of the 75 questions- which is to eliminate the three wrong choices no matter if you don't understand the remaining answers rationale. I got the good pop-up today and feel relieved. Of course the four margaritas helped the tachycardia after the exam with my friends who are new RN's too! LOL - Good luck, to you and if you failed, get back to studing and change your study habits I believe its the amount of questions you do and how process the rationale that makes the difference.

I just took my nclex-pn today and Ive been doing the same checking the pearson vue website how soon did you start checking?

your status on pearson vue site has to say "delivered successfully" (or something like that....that comes after "ready for delivery")

so i took my lpn boards on tue aug 24th and i've done the pearson vue trick at least 30 times since i got home from my test (and i've been compulsively checking my state hahs site). i've gotten the "good" popup every time i tried the pvt. this has helped relieve some of my anxiety because i completely felt like i had failed when i was finished with the test. shut off at 85 questions-- about 15 sata and lots of meds i didn't know.

i've been reading lots of these posts and noticing that everyone seems to say that the pearson vue "trick" works. my questions is... has anyone heard of the pvt not working??

(i'm so nervous! i only have about 8-10 hours to go before i find out!! and on a side note-- i must say that i thought it was so unfair that i had to wait 48hrs for my results... that is until i read about so many that must wait weeks! my heart goes out to you! i hate to whine but this agony they put us through... it's just not humane!!!)

PVT worked for me. Took NCLEX RN 8/23 got the good pop up as soon as I got home. found my number on my SBON 8/24!

HELLO everyone. I just wanted to share my story with you all because this site helped ME remain calm for what had to be the longest 6 days of my life.

I took my exam on August 18, 2010 in CA. (NCLEX-RN) Went into the exam thinking I had a firm grasp on what to expect for the test. I mean...I had a ton of resources at my disposal. (I mainly used Saunders and the ONLINE Kaplan Course questions to study.)

Boy was I wrong! The questions were like none I had/have ever seen. And the questions for me appeared to start at a difficult level to begin with. I truly mean that question number 1 WAS HARD!! And the questions just got harder and harder to the point where I had to say What the HECK is going on here!!! (I DIDNT SAY HECK IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN) Anyway...by question 60 I knew I had failed the exam. I began just answering questions with the belief that I was really just paying $200.00 for a sneak peek of the NCLEX...thats how terrible I felt I was doing. When I reached #73 I got what felt like my 10th SATA. Answered it to best of my ability...went on to #74 and what do you know SATA again!!! I remember thinking at this point, I hope the comp does not shut off at 75 bc I still need to show the COMP that I could answer some of the questions correctly!!! 75 comes up......and yup....SATA again. I mean, what kinda luck am I having or not having to get SATA's for 73,74,& 75? Answered the question and COMP shuts down. (I CAN FEEL MY HANDS SHAKING AT THIS POINT....OR WAS IT MY WHOLE BODY...) I felt soooooo terrible when I walked out of the building. Got in my car closed the door and SCREAMED %^$* at the top of my lungs. (NO JOKE).

A friend of mine told me about this blog/website and about the good popup and bad popup. Checked my "status" and got the "good popup" and read all the stories here and I could not believe it. And to make a very long story short.....worked for me. Passed......found out on Tuesday @3am. VERY HAPPY NOW. EVERYONE from my class who got the good pop up passed the EXAM. One girl that I know from another school went to the CC page and she failed.

I hope this helps some of you. Thank you all for taking the time out to share your stories.

Just for those of you who want to know. Had 75 questions. Ton of SATA, MEDS and PRIORITY. NO MATH.

jazjas really 11 weeks of waiting?

yes, it took 11 weeks for my name to appear on the website. after 3 days, i got my license!

I need to send 4 fingerprint cards to them. and it should only be 2 cards at most!

that's why it took a long time to release my result.

...forgot to mention that q#75 was SATA so i know i got that one wrong....but i already checked to pvt pop up like 10,000 times (well, like 10) and they're all "good" ....so 30 more hrs to go :uhoh3::heartbeat

the PVT WORKS!!! JUST FOUND OUT THAT I PASSED !!!!!! THANK YOU WHOEVER DISCOVERED THE PVT !!!!!!!!
