PeaceHealth RN Residency in Eugene/ Springfield Oregon 2020
I’m looking to get any feedback regarding the PeaceHealth Registered Nurse Residency in Eugene, Springfield and Vancouver (Riverbend, University and Southwest respectively). If anyone has participated in the program or knows how many people generally apply to the program vs spots available, it would be infinitely helpful to me!
I have received ICU offers in Washington at rural hospitals but would like to stay closer to Portland if possible. I have to either accept or decline these offers but am trying to gauge what my chances are at Peace Health before I do so.

Something interesting I just noticed.. When I log onto the old job site and check my application status it says "Process Complete" for Riverbend. The date on it is 6/29. I wonder if that has any implication for whether or not I'll get an offer. For SW, it still says "Under Review".

I just check mine and it also says "Process Complete" and 6/29 date, but it didn't say that yesterday when I checked. I really hope that's not bad news bc all the other positions I applied to that I didn't get a job offer/interview say that too.

Congratulations! what unit if you don’t mind sharing? I haven’t heard anything, I’m so anxious and loosing my hope over here, I don’t know if I should call again :’(
Thank you! I don’t mind. I got on with the cardiopulmonary unit...but I think they just move really slow. The recruiter said her goal was to have more done by Thursday but it sounds like she didn’t finish. She also has to wait for people to accept and that takes time to. Don’t lose hope!

wait, so they wait for people to accept/decline before giving out more offers? how long do they give you decide?
I didn’t get a timeline on mine. I believe they would give the job to choice A, then choice B if A turns it down. (This is what I've experienced applying to other residencies). I talked to Josh Escalante before applying and he said this area takes 30-40 residents total so odds are you are they just ran out of time to send all the invites before the holiday weekend! What unit did you pick?

I see, I see. You’re right, holiday weekend, they might have taken today off too to have a long weekend. I'll call on Monday should I not hear anything by then. And I interviewed for ED and OR!
Oooh those are awesome units! Yeah, I imagine they were crunched for time this week and it sounds like all the communication is going through one person (Michelle). I’m sure you’ll hear by Monday for sure!
