Do you have a PDA or voice recorder? Why or why not? Do you think either or both of these are needed or helpful?

I haven't felt the need for a voice recorder.
I do plan on getting a PDA very soon.

My school has a policy of not allowing voice recorders in class or clinicals so there is no point in me getting one.
I do intend to get a PDA before starting back next fall.

Okay curious, but why don't they allow voice recorders in class? Is it an issue of privacy, thinking you might pick up something you aren't supposed to?
Privacy is exactly the reason they give. The department of nursing has a policy that nobody may record anything so that they can discuss cases more freely without risk of private information going beyond the classroom or clinical setting.
