Anyone who has previously gone through this have advice for the group interview?
Can't wait to meet you. I have it that Saturday at 9am as well. Haven't read much on what to expect. You go through any other programs?

I went through OHSU Ashland campus and Rogue CC. I think my main concern with MHCC is the written essay...my hand writing isn't the best and I'm a much better typer!

You and me both! Glad they are giving us 90 minutes from what I read. How were those interviews? A friend of mine went through Pendleton and said it was nothing kike here in Portland. I feel good about the interview portion, but making a lasting impression with the essay is what I'm worrying about

OHSU had 4 mini interview stations and a time response to one question. Unfortunately, I was denied there even after being waitlisted the year before.
I felt much better about RCC's though. They did 90 minutes to type a response for 5 questions, a break, then 15 minutes to type another response for an adversity question and then 50 minutes for a critical thinking test. No actual in person interview questions though, which I always think is useful.
I have never done a group interview, so hopefully MHCC isn't too intimidating. Looking forward to this process being over and getting to the decisions!
I had my MHCC interview this morning. We introduced ourselves and then answered a randomly selected question in front of all the other interviewees. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't nerve racking! After that was over we had 45 minutes to answer the essay questions. My advice to other people interviewing at MHCC is make sure you actually answer the question that is asked, with regards to the randomly selection question. A few people in my group had trouble with this. Also, they did not provide pens or pencils for you to answer the essay question. I randomly decided to buy a pencil on the way there, and I felt lucky that I had-- there were people who had to write their essays in pen. Good luck to everyone!!!

Thank you so much for letting us know about the mhcc interview. I really didn’t do well with ccc interview since it was my first nursing and group interview I’ve ever had. It was disaster ? I’m hoping do to better with mhcc one. Also it’s really good to know that I need to bring a pencil. If you had the ccc interview, how do you think of the mhcc interview questions compared to ccc? I practiced general nursing interview questions before the interview, but it didn’t help me at all because ccc questions were super unique. I hope mhcc questions would be more general.

We did the written part of the interview first. Then the oral interview was with a couple other candidates. Everyone gets different questions.
Personally, for me, I am more confident on the written part. I feel like I'm not as confident when I need to answer oral questions.
I do see why you said the CCC questions are a bit difficult. I would say they are unique. That being said, the interviewers were extremely kind and did their best to put us at ease.
True! However, nothing really prepares you for the question "your group members are watching Mediaography during a lecture, and discussing it. What do you do?"
Lol, I really hope none else got that question. It seriously threw me for a loop, though I was able to answer the question coherently. Good luck, should be hearing back in a couple weeks!!

Oh wow!!! You got asked that question? No wonder someone else on the chat mentioned that the CCC questions were so unique!
