Hi this is a general thread for this years nursing applications for the schools above in Portland,OR and surrounding areas for the FALL 2019/ WINTER 2020 Cohorts.

Yes, I applied to Chemeketa. I did so bad on the Kaplan exam, I think my overall points is 297 or 295. I am not in the 300s. Can you share your points?

Oh no I’m sorry to hear about that. I didn’t do as well as I hoped, I got an 80% which gave me a total of 323 points ? I’m super nervous about not getting in and kind of regret only applying to the one program now

You may be competitive! You never know!! I’m 311 and got a 74% on my Kaplan at chemeketa.

My CCC application has 38 points. I’m working on getting my Cna this summer and some of their extra discretionary points. I don’t have high hopes, as it seems you need to have their cna/work discretionary points.

Has anyone heard when the decisions will go out for Chemeketa? My BF did well, but I think we'll feel better once we know for sure. Wondering if we really won't hear until June...

On the point distribution email it says that after 5:00 pm all points are final... so I am assuming it will be shortly after 5:00 pm today!

I think they'll send them tomorrow because the points one was on Saturday (and it's the last day of the second week of April).

Clackamas actually sent out some emails today about after 5pm. I didn't get any email but two of my friends who did get an email said it was about them not making the top 100. They both had below 40pts.

Hi everyone!

Current MHCC nursing student and wanted to send everyone my luck on the programs they've applied to. When I applied I applied to MHCC, PCC, OHSU, CGCC (columbia gorge), and CCC (clackamas). I was accepted to MHCC, CGCC and waitlisted at PCC and OHSU, but no offer from CCC. I declined PCC's waitlist and eventually was accepted to OHSU, but had already committed to MHCC. I recommend practicing interview questions and dressing professionally. OHSU was quite intimidating but MHCC made me feel comfortable and at ease. Take time reviewing your questions and then answer.

Hi there! How do you like the program so far? If you don't mind me asking, what were you wait listed as at OHSU and when did they let you know you were accepted? I'm moderately likely at OHSU, but unsure if this means I have a chance at all! OHSU is my top choice. But yes the interviews were really stressful!

I was waitlisted as moderately likely at OHSU and was notified of my acceptance the day that I started classes at MHCC. I am enjoying MHCC so far, just started 3rd term. The faculty is supportive and the people in my cohort are amazing. I am very lucky ?
