PBSC Spring 2014 Applicants

Published

Hello! I decided to start a thread for those who are applying to PBSC for the Spring 2014 deadline.

I have applied and my application is complete! this is my 3rd time applying, so I am really hoping to make the cut this time around

Good luck to everyone applying!!

Hey all- congratulations on being accepted! Welcome to the journey!! I am a 3rd semester student and wanted to give you all a different perspective.Yes- The program is very difficult, BUT it is doable. Know your learning style and find what studying method works for you- then stick with it. You will have bad grades lol. It's more about recovering and tweeking your study method. Ask others what works and try it. Use NCLEX books!!! Study with people who are getting good grades. If you have a family, bf/gf, job, etc.... It will be MORE difficult for you. Adjust. I got an A in pharm, B in 1st sem, A in Med Surge and currently have an A is Peds/OB. I have never had a PIP and I don't feel like the program is as bad as some believe. Go in with an open mind and put in your best effort. It IS doable. Good luck!!

Oh my goodness, you are making me feel so unprepared :( I hope I will have enough time to get everything done. I've been anxiously waiting the packet to start making my moves..

Thank you for the tips! I know quite a few people who are in the program and who completed it and they all say the same thing, its hard but doable. I think the one's who go in believing that its going to be a piece of cake have the most trouble. Glad to have the heads up and encouragement

Don't worry, once you get the packet then you can start the process. Try to sign up for a CPR class because I know that is needed, I'm taking it a PBSC but there are other places that offer it as well. Good luck with everything!

Can't wait until welcome night!

Okay, so I called the nursing office again (they are probably getting tired of me :bluecry1:) and I was told they weren't quite finished with the welcome packets and should be sending them out hopefully within the next day or two. So I'm not going to stress myself out about it, I'll shoot for friday

I finally got mine to print lol. So do what is front loading and should I be able to access blackboard now? Sorry for the questions but I couldn't find these things out in the packet I thought maybe someone would know. ..:)

No, I believe that we are able to access blackboard on the first day of school (Jan.6) granted our classes are paid for.

There are so many dates to remember!

Do you know what classes you are taking, like day or evening clinical?
