Hey everyone! I see there are a bunch of people on the fall 2017 applicant page so I figured I would start the next one up. This thread is for everyone to ask questions and discuss the application to the program.

I'll start by asking, does anyone know if there will be any more information sessions before the October 1st deadline besides the July 19th session?

Nur Pharm is an OVERLOAD of info. I hear Tina Collins is great if you get her... If you have time it's not a problem.

You will get in ahead of me... I'm only at 23.11 and still have to finish A&P 2 Lecture & Lab.

Not feeling it... :(

Does anyone know how they handle filling the class if people turn them down? I know ppl have been asked if they will go to Belle Glade to fill that class, but I am wondering what happens if they offer, say, 30 acceptances to P/T students and 5 turn them down. Do they go back and say, "my bad..." and then offer additional acceptances? I keep thinking they have already accepted some students and have already gotten declines... ??

That is what I heard! Do you think they will open more classes because there are no classes open for pharm. And hopefully we both get in! Luckily last year, the lowest point taken were 22.14, so we have a whole point of room to spare!

Usually they hold some pharm classes for nursing students and open them up to all as it gets closer to when the semester begins.

I did not get in.

I had 23.11

Minimum accepted was 23.58 for P/T

They said they had 71 applicants and only 23 open spots... ??

What happened to 30 open spots?

Congratulations to all of you who did get in. I will finish my pre-req's and apply in a year.

BTW... you will need to just keep checking 24/7 to see when they open those nur pharm spots to those outside of the program. I did that and got in and texted my friend who got in. They were open for a couple of hours only I think and then all the spots were gone. Good luck.
