Hi everyone!! I probably am jumping the gun by posting this already but I'm too excited and just can't believe I'm finishing up my last semester of pre reqs for the program. I take my HESI on Feb 16th. Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself and see if anyone has also taken the hesi and what would be the best study guide to get. Here's to hoping for a great fall!!! :D

Hey fleicia, there are a ton of assignments! They are under lesson, then actually click the word assignments, and then you will see them there. :)

My skills lab is Wednesday....but was I suppose to show up Thursday or Friday of this past week?

No, just for orientation :)

Thanks for the response! :)

Are you on facebook? It's so much easier to see stuff on there. If you are I will add you to the group on there:)

Yes- I sent you a private MSG with my info! I was unable to find the group through the search engine. Thanks :)

Hello all! I just applied to the full-time RN program at Lake Worth's campus which begins in the spring. For those of you who have been accepted and are well into your course of study, how is it going? In terms of the quality of instruction, work-load, anything and everything! I've spoken to many students at Broward College, but haven't heard much from PBSC's.

Wishing you all the best of luck in your endeavors!

So far its going pretty good. Its just alot! lol :) For lecture, the instructors post audio lectures online and we do supplemental (group) work in class. If I would have known that I would have taken it online honestly. But its still ok. The audios REALLY help. We have two days of clinical, mine are Monday and Tuesday mornings. I decided to take skills lab on Friday-Its the class where they have mannequins and you practice certain skills before you can perform them in the hospital. I already took pharm over the summer and it was a HUGE weight lifted off, it is really hard to find enough time to study for everything. Its like there aren't enough hours in the day (and im not even working lol) The weeks seem to fly by tho, so its good. As you can see no one has been posting because were all so busy lol, but we all use a facebook group now to post helpful things for our class. If you get in I recommend doing that as well. Good luck and hope you get in!!

Does anybody recommend to take NUR2140 by itself or is it safe to take it my nursing core classes ?

By itself. It's a very difficult class. Lots of memorization and understanding of what the drug does, side effects, action, purpose, death effect lol, contraindications, etc.

Taking it with core classes is doable but it will prove to be very challenging. Especially of you plan to hold a job. If you can- do it without any other courses. You'll be glad you did!
