PBSC Fall 2012 hopefuls

U.S.A. Florida

Hi everyone!! I probably am jumping the gun by posting this already but I'm too excited and just can't believe I'm finishing up my last semester of pre reqs for the program. I take my HESI on Feb 16th. Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself and see if anyone has also taken the hesi and what would be the best study guide to get. Here's to hoping for a great fall!!! :D

Felicia, Are you an LPN to RN? I did not receive any calls regarding hospital clinicals.

Is there a clinical class on Thursday? I thought it was Mondays, Tuesdays.

I found out if you have skills lab tomorrow morning, you can wear your scrubs to

orientation.

If you have no class in morning, but are only attending the orientation at 2pm

you can wear your street clothes. However, everyone must have their name badge on.

I didn't get a call either. Felicia, do you have to be on campus at 8 tomorrow or do you mean Mon, Tues? Anyone else have skills tomorrow?

Ok, also, anyone know about if we do in fact need to wear scrubs to skills lab? I don't see anything in the syllabus about wearing scrubs, just name tag. I think the scrubs are just for clinicals. I am getting it all confused.

I called the nursing office!

You must wear uniform for skills lab as well as clinicals...which means if you don't have skills lab tomorrow you do not have to wear scrubs. :)

Ok so I am lake worth RN mon tues evening clinicals, tues skills lab 9 am (bc it was required for those in evening clin.) and lecture is online. Anybody in any class I am in. Everybody seems to be in other classes, even my friends. Would love to find someone on the same schedule as me!!!

You are not alone...im not with you but I have heard of others that will be there.

So, another question, in the skills lab syllabus, on the bottom of page 3, there is a portion that says class requirements. It talks about an ethical form that need to be signed and submitted on the first day of class. It says that you will find this form in the 1023 syllabus, I can't seem to locate it anywhere, anybody else? I was thinking maybe they will give it out in orientation? Ummm....forget it, I found it.

Really? Uniforms for skills? That's new but not all bad. Some of the skills can be a bit messy and we always had to wear closed toe shoes since we use real sharps in the lab
