Hi everyone!! I probably am jumping the gun by posting this already but I'm too excited and just can't believe I'm finishing up my last semester of pre reqs for the program. I take my HESI on Feb 16th. Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself and see if anyone has also taken the hesi and what would be the best study guide to get. Here's to hoping for a great fall!!! :D

Yay! Thanks so much FoodieJ!

I'm so confused on what books we need just tonight I was told no to the..nurtrtion and fluids elec but.at the same time was quickly given names.for books.I never heard of. Can someone please help I want anything that'll help

I was told the same thing by multiple people in the program that you will never use the nutrition or fluids book. I returned mine but didn't hear anything about any other books that were needed other than those on the syllabus. Which ones did you hear about?

I just bought the required and recommended books. Plus I had critical thinking and clinical judgment books from the Critical Thinking Class.

On another note, the Welcome Night was ended with see you in scrubs on Thursday. Are we to wear our scrubs to Thursday Lecture orientation?

Is everyone coming in scrubs Thursday?

Im wearing scrubs to lecture (just in case) even though I have skills lab on friday.. I emailed my lecture prof and she said I needed the Laboratory and diagnostic tests book.. It wasnt in the syllabus but it was on the bookstores website.

I have skills lab Thursday morning before orientation so I will be wearing scrubs. Maybe that is what she meant?

I heard that and ended up asking the prof right outside the classroom to clarify. She said you do not have to wear scrubs to lecture Thursday afternoon.

You will use the lab and diagnostic book, mostly for first and second semester. Another good resource is LabTestOnline.com very helpful
