PBSC Fall 2012 hopefuls

Published

Hi everyone!! I probably am jumping the gun by posting this already but I'm too excited and just can't believe I'm finishing up my last semester of pre reqs for the program. I take my HESI on Feb 16th. Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself and see if anyone has also taken the hesi and what would be the best study guide to get. Here's to hoping for a great fall!!! :D

I went by an urgent care that does physicals and in total, it would be about 500 for everything not including the recommended hep items :/

I registered for CPR at pbsc gardens. They only have 6 seats left for whoever needs that! It's 49.33 and on wednesday at 830am to 1p

Wednesday July 25 that is.

Is anyone getting there cpr done at a place that's not pbsc and around here?

Anyone know if we need an EKG to be part of the physical???

Go on aha website you take an online part for $22 and the skills part in a location near you. I went to the Jupiter hospital did the online part in 11/2 hrs then did skills for 1hour at hospital and got my CPR card. It was like $44 total.

I got my physical with my pediatrician he had most of my shots of records so I did not have titers . I needed a few though but he didn't offer hep c. With tb 3 other shots and physical I paid $165 I do not have insurance. I plan on going next week for drug test And backgroud screening. The woman said they need to only verify one employment if you put down more you pay extra so no need

If your shots a more than ten years old or so they'll want you to get titers. I made that mistake and had to rush it.

Are you saying that the urgent care wanted to charge you $500. That seems so high. Anyone else get a better price? I know a spring hopefull wrote about going to MD now and they give PBSC students a discount, but if it is a discount off $500, then I am not sure that is affordable. Yikes
