I got dinged for not calling a fire code when a mattress was on fire! I guess that's not too bad since it wasn't nursing related.

Almost said [really wanted to say because the customer service lecture preceded the test] as the response to the startling statement like " has anyone every jumped out this window?":
I really don't know; but I will be happy to open the window for you so we can find out. Is there anything else I can do for you? I have the time---maybe like give you a push...
So bad...but I really hate that stupid test and the even more ridiculous customer service policies & scripting that many hospitals are pushing.

This is ludicrous. Why can't the test be given BEFORE the traveler departs home base? And why, once passed is it not good permanently?

Because Dr. Dorothy Delgado is very very good at marketing her product. I've taken that thing so many times it makes me sick because like you said, it's not good permanently.
It's very demoralizing to know that my RN education, experience, and licence means next to nothing, it's all about the PBDS.
I often wonder if pharmacists and other health professionals have to prove themselves through testing such as this upon hire or if their credentials alone actually mean something.
