Hi, I live about an hour from Dallas. I have been considering to go and work that way also when I get finished with school. My nursing instructor has a sister in law who is an Rn who got certified and works ICU. she makes 48.50 an hour!! Another girl in my class mother is an RN who does home health (I do believe she said it was home health), she makes 49.50 an hour! I have heard that RNs that work in the hospitals make about 30.00 an hour, but that is what I have heard. There is another girl in our class whos cousin is an LVN in Dallas and makes 27.00 an hour. I have heard Houston pays even better! Hope this helps and good luck!

I'm in Dallas. I work at the county hospital in the ER, Parkland, it doesn't pay well at all compared to the other hospitals around here. It does however, have great benefits. I've only worked at Parkland so I'm not sure exactly how much other hospitals pay. It seems agency pays the most per hour though.
