payrate for L&D RN 6+ yrs experience

Planning to move out to san diego, ca. any idea how much is the pay rate for L&D nurses 6+ more years of experience?

Info needed badly. Hope someone can help.

I don't know exactly, but you should definitely look at many hospitals and see how they compare. Also, a lot of them have signing bonuses for L&D and might offer relocation $$ as well. Yes, pay is high in CA, but so is the cost of living--esp in San Diego because it is such a nice place to live. Good luck--if you do your homeowrk, you could make a great deal for yourself!

I recently started working in Santa Barabara county and was previously working in Los Angeles. I make about $30 and hour. I think that San Diego has similar wages. I have 1 year expierence in L & D

i guess it's not that big difference as compared here in las vegas NV. I am about $37/hr (3yrs med-surg + 6 1/2yrs L&D = almost 10yrs experience). just worried if we can afford to get a house there (decent size) in the sense as what janeyW just said the cost of living is high in SD.

San Diego is about three dollars per hour less than the LA area. Usually it is not the same between both of those areas.

Housing is going to be considerably more than what you can get where you are now.
