You are not going to receive anywhere close to $51/hourly in Dallas.

With 13 years of experience, you'll likely be offered in the $33 to $40 range per hour for full-time and perhaps about $45 for PRN. The most diverse hospitals are Methodist Charlton, Methodist Dallas, UT Southwestern, and Parkland.

I haven't researched salaries in Dallas recently, but I bet the above is correct.

Do note that the cost of living in Texas is significantly lower than in California. We have fairly high property taxes, but housing is significantly more affordable here than in CA, and we have no state income tax. Keep that in mind as you look around.

I've been living and working in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for the past decade and am reasonably familiar with the local employment market.

As a southern California native who is now a transplanted Texan, I totally concur. A newer construction house can be purchased in the $150,000 range in many cities and suburbs around here. Rents are reasonable and gas is currently $1.37 per gallon.

Yep. Nowhere even close to $51/hr but we have no state sales tax and real estate is wayyyyyyyyy less expensive than California, though property values are on the rise due to several large corporations relocating their headquarters here over the next year to two years.
