1. Probably 100+ (majority of these coming in by EMS as code in progress, have already been coding en route..we work them for a while too before pronouncing them)2.ER (see >130,000pts/year)

Wow greater than 130,000 pts a year! What state is this? I have been a nurse for about 6 months now in a med/surg floor (vascular surgery) and we had only one full code not make it.
1) Two people die while I was their nurse, HOWEVER, approx 10-15 die while coding when I was there and were other nurses's patients. Now I am at Hospice and have had about 35-40 die in the last 8 monthes we have been open.
2) 1.5 years corrections, 6.5 years step-down tele, 1 year hospice

Just curious.
1) How many patients that were full code have you had die while you were their nurse?
2) What area of nursing do you work in?
3) How long have you been a nurse?
For Me:
1) one
2) med/surg, step-down, ICU
3) 10+ years
