which path

Because of the competitiveness and wait lists I am thinking about majoring in Nutrition same pre reqs as Nursing then applying to an accelerated BSN program or Masters in OT etc. Any advice? I have applied to Long Beach, San Diego, Fresno State(want to move away though) Cal Poly (Nutrition Major) would love to attend there. Also, Cuesta JC and Santa Barbara City College(ADN Program then transfer to BSN) I am guessing that city college route is a total of three years, one year pre reqs then two nursing? then another two years for BSN program so a total of five years on this route?

Any advice. I am nursed out and discouraged. I graduate in June 2015. Valedictorian, Awesome Science, Anatomy and Chem grades, AP Bio. Just so confused and discouraged. Our local JC has a five semester wait list max. Any info on any of the schools above. Thanks from a stressed out senior.

    Well, it really depends on the financial aspect as well as how good your grades are. having a pretty good up there GPA and teas score is necessary if you want to be competitive. Some schools may have a certain minimum on the teas test score in which you could apply so check that out. comparing csu schools and a cc I think csu schools are pretty competitive right now like as if you almost need many a's, no c's or else your GPA is lower. cc is also cheaper so that's a plus, and maybe less competitive than csu schools but I'm not entirely sure. Yeah it is longer if you attend a cc for adn and then do RN to BSN that whole process is about a year or so longer than if you were to go directly into a traditional BSN program as a transfer student.
