I thought I've read on the EPN board that the clinical associate didn't want them to use Impaired Gas Exchange for a diagnosis. The faculty says different-that we can use that diagnosis, but it seems like the each clinical associate have their own rules on what they expect for the nursing diagnosis. Since I'm trying to study and get comfortable with the most common nursing diagnosis, I want to make sure I'm not wasting my time on the Impaired Gas exchange ND. So, if any past testers can remember if this particular ND was or wasn't allowed.
I'm very, very happy I chose Excelsior as my choice to obtain my RN. I've enrolled to Excelsior January 2009 and graduate January 15th. 1 year later, I finished the whole program, whereas my friend is still dealing the "traditional" RN program BS! I will highly recommend Excelsior College to anyone who doesn't have the time or patience for the traditional RN programs! The CPNE wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. And rereading the negative comments about Excelsior has me shaking my head. I had nothing but positive experiences from Excelsior College. Good luck to all that is going through this program, and keep the negative comments at bay, you don't need that to deter you away from obtaining your dreams and goals! Hard work and determination will help you succeed!

I have to agree. Excelsior has been supportive every step of the way. When Virginia sideswiped us with their decision Excelsior couldn't have been more helpful. I honestly can't think of any negative aspect of my experience. It was an awesome experience.
