Passport photo denied BON

Published

I live in Maryland and my passport style photo was rejected by the board of nursing. Has this ever happened to anyone? Does anyone know what you're supposed to do? I contacted BON and they told me to contact my school (which doesn't make sense since the photo was uploaded to the BON). I've called the school but since it's Friday, I won't hear back until Monday from anyone.

Why is the BON issuing you a passport?

I'm assuming they require a passport photo to keep on file at the BON. I had to send a copy of a passport photo to my states BON.

OP: They didn't tell you why it was rejected? Unless you application was rejected/ I can't understand why they would have you call your school. Something is weird. Has the school sent all necessary paperwork to the BON? That happened to my class. A couple of my classmates didn't complete the ATI testing so no ones paperwork was sent in to the BON. (I graduated April 1, BON didn't get anything until the end of April).

The photo was at "an angle". They said they received everything else, the transcripts, my criminal record, and fingerprints were all good to go. I emailed the board of nursing since the person on the phone told me to call the school. I totally agree, it doesn't make sense to call the school unless they were missing my transcripts or something.

It's a passport style photo.

Just submit another photo. Get a physical passport style photo taken and submit by mail to the BON.

I recently obtained a new license in a new state which had the same photo requirement. I submitted the photo on their website (everything else submitted in hard copy by mail) and later received notification from the board that they were missing the photo requirement. Went to Walgreens, got passport photos taken, submitted to the board by mail and bing, bang, boom: new license issued.

How close to Baltimore are you? The MD BON is a joke unless you go there in person. Go to Walgreens, get a passport photo, don't smile in it, and drive to Charm City.

I'm about an hour and a half but it would be worth it. There was no where to upload a new picture online. I'm hoping they take it via email but worst case scenerio, I'll just physically take it Monday.

Thank you!
