Hello Everyone,
I just joined and this is my first thread. I took my Boards on Monday and after 85 questions the computer shut down. We learned in school this meant you passed. When I talked to my mother (an RN), she said goody, goody, you passed. Some how, I have my doubts. Is this a good indication of success? I don't think I can wait 4 weeks to 6 for a response. What has your experience been? Thank you one and all.

Sorry, but it does not mean that you passed. Someone is giving out wrong information, and I hope that it was not one of your instructors. Shame on who ever is telling you that.
The number of questions has absolutely no bearing on whether or not that you passed. You can pass with 85, and you can fail with 85. Same goes for every other number up to the top. It is dependent on the types of questions that you were answering correctly and the level that they were at.
If you waiting the three to four weeks, then you are in CA. And unfortunately, there is nothing else that you can do but wait for the letter.
The letter will still only tell you if you passed or did not pass, you still will need to pay the $100 fee for the license.

I hate to hear someone told you that. I failed with 85 questions my first try. But that doesn't mean u will. My best friend who also graduated teh same time I did passed with 85. It means u did really well or u did not too good,(or in my case-- stunk it up) The best of luck to you though and please let us know what happens.
