Congratulations on passing the Teas the second time around I am planning on taking the test for the second time. For the Science did you only use the ATI book or did you use other sources? I am so nervous about taking it again that studying is not working. What are somethings you did to prepare you for the second time around? I have 6 weeks to study do you think that is enough time or should I study longer?

Hello, I am trying to study for the teas as well, I'm not sure where you reside in NewJersey but I have a private tutor whom I share with a friend. He is an expert on the teas. The more people in my sessions the cheaper it will be for all of us .My friend has 3weeks till she takes the test. I have maybe a month or two . Studying with someone else is always effective. I took this test last year and scored poorly.

Hi everyone!

Taking the TEAS can be stressful. I just took it and received a 91.3%. This is the best advice I can give:

1). USE the ATI study guide.

2). TAKE THE PRACTICE EXAM. At least one. And if you do poorly on the practice exam, it's OK! It is much more difficult than the actual exam.

Whatever areas they tell you to study (based off what you missed on practice), study them, beyond the study guide. The study guide is a brief overview which is enough for most sections, but sometimes you need to hop online and get a better understanding of some concepts.

Some tips:

- Know how to solve work rate problems (Purple Math website is great for this!)

- Know the basics, the ATI manual covers what you need to know, and you'll need to know the entire math section. It's important to know it well so that you don't spend a lot of time during the test trying to figure it out. That section seems to go the quickest and I ran the clock down to the last second. You don't want to time out, so practice, practice, practice!

- Know Meiosis and Mitosis inside and out. Be able to describe the process.

- There was a lot of Life Science questions that I would have imagined, so don't forget to brush up.

- If you take both exams and you see similar questions, there's a reason and be sure to know that subject well.

- The ATI guide does not cover human biology to the extent of what they expect you to know on the test. This is probably the only section that I felt wasn't covered in the ATI manual. It's a huge body of knowledge so I studied what I missed on the pratice exam and was able to answer most questions in this area based off my additional study, outside of the manual.

I can't say much more because I need to keep the integrity of the test content!

I just took the TEAS for the first time last week, sort of a benchmark attempt to see where I was weak. I scored 84.0%, and was informed by the proctor that it was well over what I would need to get in, so I am leaving well enough alone. The things that stood out to me that I was unprepared for was balancing chemical equations. I haven't taken chemistry since my sophomore year in HS, which was 20 years ago. As far as the math went, FOIL was on there a few times, and order of operations. Everything else was easy, with the exception of forgetting how to speak proper English lol.
