thanks!

how is it going with lifespan 2? i hope you're progressing.

tiffany, you took lifespan 3 and transitions already, right?

do you think it would be wise for me to study both at the same time and take them one day apart in 3 weeks? or should i just focus on one exam at a time just like what i have been doing?

and another thing, what did you use for transitions? i have both sg101 and lisaarends. are they enough for transitions? i have never used the recommended books for all the exams i've taken but maybe i need to for transitions because i don't have to use critical thinking on that one?

sorry for so many questions. thanks!

please anybody with suggestions are welcome to comment. thank you.

i just used the sg101 and the practice tests...brushed up on the prominent figures from the reading. i studied for about 2 solid weeks for that one and came out with a b...how long did you focus on repro? i have been procrastinating something terrible on this one! is sg101 enough for this one? arg! i need some motivation here!

@ Agldragon, I'm testing on Mon 12/7 due to me rescheduling again, my daughter had a BMT 9/15/09 and she has been in the hosp pretty much all of Nov so I haven't really been studying and my nerves keep getting the best of me. Lifespan 3, I used SG101 & Lisa arends and they were on the money and for Transitions I used SG101 but it only helped a little, I read some of the textbooks and the practice exam (transitions), and prayed. The practice exam for Lifespan 3 was helpful too.

@ Agldragon I would advise you to tackle 1 at a time but everybody's approach is different, to me Transitions is tricky because it don't require critical thinking just straight forward answers. I prayed for a C, I studied for a week and a half after taking Lifespan 3.

i studied repro for about 2 weeks. i was scared of this test because i didn't do so well in ob rotation in lpn school maybe because i was a guy and this subject did not interest me.

anyway, the questions were not tricky at all. my practice scores were 62(a) and 61(b). i used sg101 and saunders nclex. sg101 had so many extra congenital diseases that i didn't use it and what i did was look up all the congenital diseases mentioned in the practice exams and looked them up in my lpn peds book.

i believe the questions on the practice exams were very similar in the actual exam. so memorize everything in practice exams including the rationales.

good luck jules.

i see...rescheduling is better than failing. don't forget to review all the recommended and restriction diet for each diseases for lifespan 2. good luck tiffany!

yeah i'll focus only on one exam at a time. i should continue to do the same way i've been doing because i've been successful with this strategy.

i am just feeling anxious to get all these exams over with that is why i am feeling like i want to rush my last two exams. :D
