I failed for the first time in July and passed on Sept 29th. It's not easy but never give up! I had my moments where I would be depressed, start crying, but just had to shake it off and get back on my feet.
I used Kaplan, PDA by LaCharity, Hurst (got the videos/study guide from a friend), several study guides that I found on here, etc.
The Kaplan Decision tree really didn't help me much because mostly all my questions this time around were (majority) SATA, drag/drop, PDA.
I feel like critical thinking and application are the key to this exam. I really just had to use the knowledge that I learned through nursing school and my study tools to really conquer this exam. IT'S ALL IN YOUR BRAIN! My QT scores averaged (49%-60%) without OT7 and my QB avg was 59% with only 824 questions taken.
This forum has helped me a lot with everyone's answers, opinions, knowledge about how to study for NCLEX!

Congrats on your success, I just found out that I failed my nclex, I had used kaplan and it didn't work for me, can you give me a little advise how to move on and which other reveiw system I can use.
congarts again and may God bless you
I don't think I can say a main specific source helped me. I pulled from all my sources that I had available to compare and contrast each one. I used my ATI comprehensive NCLEX book, Kaplan content book, hurst review notes/videos, etc. My main problem was answering the questions and applying critical thinking.
Okay, thanks! Congrats

I have to retake my exam too. How long was it before you received your new ATT?
I paid pearsonvue that same day I found out I failed the first time. Then the next two days I had to pay my state's BON application fee again. It probably took them a week or so, and this is coming from Texas. It was pretty fast the second time to get my ATT.
I have not paid for the retake yet
