I took the NCLEX last Thursday afternoon. Did the PVT TWICE when I got home (after my status was "delivery successful" and got two good pop - ups. Paid the $8 to Pearson Vue on Saturday afternoon to be assured that I did, indeed, pass.
Just waiting on my BON to update with my license number!
It feels so good to be DONE!!!
Good luck to all spring test takers!
My prep work:
I took a HURST Review (live), looked over and studied all the HURST material for a week afterwards, took the NCLEX.
My timeline:
Graduated December 16. Had all info into my BON and had registered with Pearson Vue.
December 29, got my ATT.
January 3 - 5, took HURST Review
January 6 - 11, studied HURST materials, question banks/rationales
January 12 - took NCLEX, got good pop up
January 14 - got Pearson Vue "PASS" result.
Congratulations!!I remember the olden days, when I took the NCLEX for LPN. I graduated August 20. The next available test date was OCTOBER 18th, I believe. (There were only 2 dates a year, Oct and April). I received my results by MAIL December 6th!!!! You sat in a huge room with, like 1200 others testing. You raised your hand if you needed something and were escorted individually to the bathroom, where your escort stood outside the door to make sure you did not cheat and pee at the same time!! OH, the Dood old days!!!
I honestly can't imagine waiting two months for my results. I'd be bald. BALD! LOL!
Congrats Kat!...and your time frame was great. I graduated in December took Hurst the 4,5,&6th of January and took my NCLEX exam on the 7th and even though I really did not get the the full bennifit of all the online stuff that Hurst had I was more than ready to test. Also I passed with 75 questions. What's killing me now is waiting for my license. Ugh!

There were two students from my class that too the test ASAP without studying and PASSED. I on the other hand have been studying kaplan/sauders for 4 weeks and take NCLEX tomorrow. I feel prepared and don't think I will bomb it. I keep telling myself if those two students can pass then so can I! :)) CONGRATS!
