I've been hearing about the "new" changes to the Nclex-Pn in April 2011, so I was anxious to get a test date on or before March 31...make a long story short, I took my exam on 4/12/2011...and let me tell you I was so nervous...I just knew in my head that I failed because I was bored, irritated, not focused, sleepy , AND hungry while I was taking the exam, so I was kinda rushing through the questions...AND ON TOP OF THAT...the computer made me take ALL 205 questions...lol.
After the exam I was sort of discouraged, and one of my classmates told me to do the Pearson Trick to find out about my score...So the next day, 4/13/2011, I went to my state board of nursing website and looked up my name, and to my surprise, my license was ACTIVE...YAY ...and today, I received my license in the mail. (fists pumps)...lol
From what I can remember, the majority of my questions were about:
Prioritizing
Very few calculations
Delagating
Safety
Patient Teaching
****Oh Yeah...I didn't study until the day before the exam****
Next stop...RN School
I wish they had notifications like facebook on this website, because I'm always responding so late....but anyways
@LCSWIFEY: I'm in DC...I'm sure you got your results by now...I wish you the best.
@NOTMANYDAYSOFF: The crazy part my ordeal is that I did get a good nights sleep, ate a good breakfast, and arrived at my testing site aan hour before my appointment.
@ADR12: I hope you did well

that is everything that I read/was told to NOT BE when taking NCLEX.
I made sure I got a good nite's sleep the nite before, ate a good b'fast, had all my gear ready to go by the door so I wouldn't forget anything, my hair looked good, my clothes were ironed, I left a couple of hrs early so I'd have time in case there was traffic or got a flat tire, etc...
after wks of preparing, I wasn't about to walk into the test feeling anything less than a winner - even though I was nervous as could be!
