Hi everyone! I can finally say that I am an RN!! It took a lot hard work and determination but I finally did it! I want to share my experience in hopes that it will help someone who might be looking for some guidance.
First believe in yourself! Recite and write down affirmations telling yourself that you will pass and you will be an RN!!
All 3 times that I took the NCLEX I got 265 questions! It was a nightmare each time but I'm glad I was finally able to pass the third time!
Here are my tips!
1. Pick an exam time that works for you! Not too early! First 2 times I took the nclex at 8am big mistake, 3rd time took it at 2 pm and was super calm and had less anxiety.
2. Take snacks with you and take breaks!! First 2 times did not take breaks 3rd time took 3 breaks!
3. Do at least 100 questions a day, write out the rationales you didn't understand and read them before going to bed
4. Purchased the most amazing app that I believed helped me pass the NCLEX!
NCELX-RN mastery!! This app is life changing! It has over 1000 questions with amazing rationales and guarantees double your money back if you fail!
5. Do all the chapters from La Charity , case studies if you have time.
6. Do all the chapters from Lippincott nclex-rn alternate format questions: After experiencing a ton of SATA questions on nclex, it is really good practice! Highly recommend!
7. I completed all the questions from the books listed above so I checked out Lippincott Q&A Review for NCLEX-RN from my local library and did 4/6 of the comprehensive exams the week before my exam.
8. Make flash cards for lab values and mnemonics that are provided with the NCELX-RN mastery app and review them daily.
9. Google Kaplan questions trainers 5-7 they are good practice and give you an idea of how you are doing
10. If you are religious pray to St. Joseph of Cupertino! He is truly miraculous
O St. Joseph of Cupertino who by your prayer obtained from God to be asked at your examination, the only preposition you knew. Grant that I may like you succeed in the (here mention the name of Examination eg. History paper I ) examination. In return I promise to make you known and cause you to be invoked.
O St. Joseph of Cupertino pray for me
O Holy Ghost enlighten me
Our Lady of Good Studies pray for me
Sacred Head of Jesus, Seat of divine wisdom, enlighten me.
11. Lastly have someone go with you to the exam for support. Many premed students have people go with them when they take the MCAT for support and I believe it makes a difference when you have someone sending you positive thoughts! My mom waited for me outside the building the whole time and prayed for me and sent me positive vibes while I was taking the NCLEX the last time, she did the same thing when my sister took her MCAT!
Good Luck!! You can do it!! THINK IT! BELIEVE IT! ACHIEVE IT!

Congratulations. You give me hope. That was a beautiful story. I had failed my first FNP exam and I am currently studying to prepare for passing the second time. God Bless.
