Passed NC4

passed nc4 with a b today. i was more proud of this grade, than i was of my a with nc3. this test was challenging for me r/t all of the cancer questions, and my sister dying from that this time last year. but, hey that is another hurdle, and i feel good. i was really freaking out last night. i guess i had like a major anxiety attack. i normally have anxiety, but this was a doozy. lol! anyway...wanted to share this good news with my cyber classmates/family. nc5 and 6 and then soc. then i think i will be cpne eligible. hope to be done with the nc's by christmas. traci:bugeyes:

Ok, I don't mean to whine, but I'm stressing about having only two weeks left to do NC 4 & 5. I seem to always do this. I get scared of what's to come but once I get through it, it wasn't so bad. I wish I could just do it and get it over with already!!! LOL!! Well, I'm going to have to anyways or end up re-registering!!:eek:

determined1...you are not whining. just normal! lol! when do you take nc4 and when do you take nc5??? i take nc5 12/20, and i don't feel prepared for the monster either. i don't want to reschedule, but i guess when i take the form b of the excelsior practice exam i will see where i stand and take it from there. i will not take that last practice exam until like the 17th. this way i can study hard. good luck! traci

Has anyone tried this?? I got this email too and tried it out yesterday but still got charged for the practice exam. I guess I will just have to give them a call for another practice exam!

I had trouble registering for the free practice exams and just saw that my credit card was charged. I have to call them about this also.

The first attempts I did, I cut and pasted the code. That didn't work. When I tried again and manually put it in, it went through.

If you happen to have another exam that you would need to get the practice for, I would put in for that exam. It's good for 4 months anyways.:D

i haven't scheduled them. i tend to schedule at the last minute. if i feel good about it, i would schedule it for the next day. but since i'm running out of time and i've only been working on nc4, i'm not sure what to do. i've thought of even scheduling both on the same day but then again, i think sitting in front of that computer for so long may work against me.

anyways, with the holidays coming up, i see there are less appointments available and i have to be done by the 23rd. that's my deadline or face paying for the exam again.:yawn:

is nc5 the only one you have left?

Determined, I have 5 and 6 plus Soc. before I can become CpNE eligible. I then have to take Info. lit.,Eng.comp with essay, and another humanity while waiting. So...I am probably not as close as you. I hope to be done by this time next year, but who knows??? Traci

Nah, we not much different!! LOL!! I have NC 4 & 5 to go for CPNE, I too also still have Info Lit (which I keep forgetting about!), Micro, Socio & Ethics. So, it looks to me like we are at about the same marking point. Yeah, I hope to be done with it all by summer!:wink2:

So, let's keep working on it, nudging each other along the way!!:loveya:

Sounds good to me determined1. We can encourage each other. Do you plan on attending a workshop? I am undecided. I think I probably need to, but I guess I will list my pros and cons. I definitely want to get Rob's DVD and will study that CPNE guide 4/ever! Traci

Weellllll..........I already attended Lynn's workshop in NC last week. It sure wouldn't hurt. Tina in PA is also highly recommended (even by Lynn- after hers, of course! lol!) Lynn continues to help even after the workshop. You can practice your careplanning and email it. She would then evaluate it. She's also there for any questions that may come up along the way. She has a few tips to share to make things run more efficiently. :wink2:

Now, I'm undecided about Rob's DVD. I already have Lynn's "skills" dvd and her new "areas of care" dvd. Do I really need another one??? :confused:LOL!

I've thought that I'd break down the study guide from a few days to upto a week per section...............or was that for the skills?..................O'well, NO NEED FOR US TO BE WORRIED ABOUT THAT FOR NOW! NEED TO GET THROUGH THESE EXAMS FIRST!!!! So get back to it, LOL! :specs:

Zuba, Are you taking NC3, or are you under the new component? Someone had emailed me the newer version, and I just used Study group 101, and EC practice exams and made sure everything form the content guide form EC was covered. Anyway...If you want the notes that were sent to me. Let me know, and I will send you a private message. You don't have enough posts to send one. I am not sure if you can receive or not. Thanks for ur answer. As u see, im new online.... Yes im part of the new program, LS3. wonder how we can make it to send me the new format, new info...or even ur notes... I never heard about 101 study group. How can i get into? I use the textbook, EC exam....n thats kinda all..... I would appreciate soooo much ur help....
