passed nc4 with a b today. i was more proud of this grade, than i was of my a with nc3. this test was challenging for me r/t all of the cancer questions, and my sister dying from that this time last year. but, hey that is another hurdle, and i feel good. i was really freaking out last night. i guess i had like a major anxiety attack. i normally have anxiety, but this was a doozy. lol! anyway...wanted to share this good news with my cyber classmates/family. nc5 and 6 and then soc. then i think i will be cpne eligible. hope to be done with the nc's by christmas. traci:bugeyes:
[color=#ffa500]i will then have rel. and english comp while awaiting cpne date.
congrats!!! any tips, I'm studying NC4 at the moment and will appreciate any info r/t NC4 exam...thanks
I used my A&P book from LVN school,ATI,NCLEX Prep, notes from yahoo group files, and I took both excelsior practice tests. This was the first time I did not use Studygroup 101. I love them! I used TCN guide, just kind of scanned over it. I did not feel prepared for NC4 at all, and when the B popped up. I was so happy and relieved. Good luck to you! Traci;)

Congratulations! I recently enrolled with Excelsior and am just beginning to study Nursing Concepts 1. I would appreciate any information you may have in how to study for these exams , in addition to, what study materials are you using to pass the exams (ex: College Network, Rue, iStudySmart). I am using Lisa's notes that I found on eBay. There is a TON of study material on the CD's.Have a wonderful evening and happy studying,
Angela
:DWelcome! For NC1 I used Study group 101, took excelsior's practice exams. $65 for both form A and B and worth every cent. I took Form A first to see where I stood, and then I took Form B about 4 days before my actual test. We are supposed to divulge any info, but just know the excelsior content guide, and remmber to deep breathe, and you will be fine. Traci
StudyGroup101 are notes for sale: http://www.studygroup101.com
I think you have about 6 months to take practice exams after paying for them ... I think it's 120 days of access. I could be wrong, though.
:yeah:You go girl proud of you and it will be done befor you know it.Tracy
Hopefully...I was scheduled to take NC5 on 11/24. I am not even half way done with my studying, so I moved it to 12/20, and the test I had scheduled to take on that day...I moved to 1/23. I may regret that, but...I sure had rather at least be able to go through all of the material, especially for this test. I was thinking that someone had said 3 was the hardest, but according to these posts NC5 is the booger, so with that being said...that is why I put it off. I made my lowest score on this practice form A...it was before I started studying, but anyway...I want to study longer, and I plan on making a higher grade on form B of the practice test. I also did not want to be stressing too much around the holidays. This way I can enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas (Still have to study, but not for 2 tests), and hopefully be able to be involved in part of the activities...Since I am doing this...it will push my CPNE eligibility date back at least a month;) But...I will get this done. Thanks TBONE ! Traci
Excelsior College its offering "FREE" practice exams from Nov 10 ----Dec 22. The practice exams regularly cost $65 everyone should take advantage of this. Just log in,register for practice exam and enter promo code which I think is FREE PRACTICE call EC to make sure. Good luck!
Has anyone tried this?? I got this email too and tried it out yesterday but still got charged for the practice exam. I guess I will just have to give them a call for another practice exam!
