Seriously so excited to see that grade when I got my paper!! I stayed up til 2am last night doing quick look overs and I was getting so upset thinking about failing the test! I used the EC Content guide and the Saunder RN Book-- it's my favorite! So I have LS2 and LS3 left. Im still aiming for end of April....fingers crossed and thinking cap on!! Thank you all for all support and opinions!!! You guys are SO awesome!!
I thought LS1 was easier than LS3 personally.... but to me, both of these exams were easier than Transitions and Chronicity. I skipped around alll over the place LOL. I took those two exams first because of my background, those were the subjects I felt the most comfortable with (cardiac, resp, neuro, GI and trauma). If you work in GI and are familiar with that, Ls3 may be easier for you... lots of GI on that one :-) I found that out of all the exams I've taken, LS3 was the most detailed and assessment based. We will progress together!!! ALL of us are gonna make it this yr!
Ugh! I had heard Transitions was one of the easiest, which is why I save it for last People had posted on the EC facebook page that they had only studied for it for a couple of days. I found Chronicity very dull too. I paged through LS3 and I hoping that one will be one of my best (GI, Ortho, Surg in general)
I took April 22nd for my LS2 date because the 1st date my Pearson has is April 13, and I will be on my cruise then. I so wanted this exam done before my trip! I am hoping to grab a cancelation next week. I should be ready. I have almost 3 weeks of studying and at first I thought this was NO PROBLEM! All psych theory review from Chonicity, well....no. Took me a bit longer to muddle my way through. I REALLY need to be finished with these exams by May! On with the push!!
The mental disorders are actually interesting! It seems the beginning is Psych review. I think the first half of LS2 is good, however the second half...errr no. I am not a fan of endocrine!!! I am hoping the first half wtll help me with some of the second half. Mental is 40% also!! That makes me feel a bit better.(at least its not the other way around) We are going to conquer this test...one at a time.:)
Ugh, I just took the first practice test for LS2. I couldn't wait for it to be OVER, LOL. I don't know how I am going to get through all the reading for this. I got a 69% on the first test... I hope I will be ready to test by April 12. I wish they gave us a print out like you get on the actual test of where you scored with each section, that would be so helpful. I seem to have done the poorest with Endocrine... no surprise there!!!
My brain is so tired.
I wish they would do the breakdown for us on the practice tests too. On the one in the study guide I did the best in Psych, but my metabolic was far from desirable. My endocrine was actually not that bad. I am going to do the practice test I think Thursday and then Friday if i do good Thursday I'm going to schedule my exam for Saturday or Monday. I tend to get pretty lucky with cancellations. I have all three ls exams to go and I want to be done by the end of April as well. I was aiming for the middle of April but the fail of LS3 let the wind out of my sail.

I think that's a great score for practice a!! How long have you been studying for it? Ill be scheduling the exam tomorrow, but I just started reading through it today. I have not taken a practice yet. And I think I'm getting a sinus infx!! Lol
This is what I do for the practice exams. Obviously it's 100 questions- 40 for mental, 10 for the next piece and 25 for the last sections each. Divide the amount right by the total # of questions for that section then multiply it by the percentage it corresponds to for that exam piece. Add them all up after you do all 4 and you get your score but at least you see where you need to study more. If I get 25 out of 40 right it tells me I need to study that section more as opposed to one where I may get 9 out of 10..... Make sense??? You probably already know this but if not I hope it helps some.
