Passed or not?? FREAKING OUT!!!!

Published

This site is really great, I just signed up. I graduated in May from an ADN RN program and took the boards in July. Unfortunately I was not successful at 265 questions. I just took them for the 2nd time on Sat and it shut-off at 75, which I never expected so of course I was shocked and nervous, but excited at the same time. I really deep down don't think I could have done worse than the first exam, which I came out as near passing for every category. Between exams I did over 4000 questions from Saunders and NCSBN website. I can't even really remember much from my exam except that I had 4 all that apply questions, some disaster questions, several priority questions (like who would you assess first), 1 really hard question that I never heard of and had no clue about (pertained to chinese medicine, but the answers had the names of chinese therapies or something along those lines), and 1 question I definately got wrong which was an EKG strip. Dummy me I knew instinctly what the answer was and allowed my brain to talk me out of it. So of course I'm slightly worried.

I had no math calculations and probably no more than 5 that I thought were easy that I'm sure I got right. I'm just freaking out because I really need to pass so I can go back to work. I have a job waiting for me, but if I didn't pass again I think I'll have to resign. I just want to know what everyone thinks. I mean it sucks when you have nothing to go on. It would be nice if they could make the exam so you get results right away, like when you take your driving permit exam. I'm not even sure when I will be able to get results, since it's a holiday weekend, too. My family thinks I passed and I'm hoping they're right. I feel that I worked hard and learned a lot in between exams, however I'm also not the best test taker. Any feedback would hopefully help with how I feel. Thanks everyone for listening!!

9/3/2007 UPDATE>>>>>>>>>>>> I PASSED!!! Thanks for all the support and good words in my time of waiting. I opted to pay the $7.95 for the results from pearson since they had them today. I couldn't wait any longer, especially when I knew that I could get them if I really wanted to. :
