I just found out that I passed my state boards.. now I am wondering if I have to wait until I get my License # in order to apply at my local hospitals? My card probably won't be in the mail until early September since it takes 6 weeks from when I applied to take the exam. Any info would be great, Thanks!

You can usually get your # there before you actually get your card..

Just apply and make sure that the employer you are applying to is aware that you passed and that you are waiting for the license to arrive.I took my test six days ago. And I PASSED! I took my test on Tuesday - found out I had passed on Friday by checking online - and TODAY I received my license! It may not take as long as you think to receive your license. Also, I know people that were hired conditionally even before they took the test. Talk about putting more pressure on you! Because, of course, their employment was based upon the condition that they passed. (And not all did.) But you are in a much better spot. Go ahead and apply and good luck.

Also i actually got hired as a CNA 2 days before i took the test in a skilled facilty. My advice would be to just get the ball rolling right away and let them know your intentions. If they like you they will wait a week or two.
