Hi to all! I passed the nclex last 2008. I just got my SSN last month as an employer based immigrant. Just a week ago, I submitted my Completed Application for Licensure by Examination including a U.S. social security number as instructed by the CA BON. My school also forwarded the needed documents.
My questions are:
Has someone gone through the same thing as I am?
What happened?
Did they release your license or not?
If yes: How long did you wait for your license?
If not: What did they say? Can you send me a copy? Did they make you do further studies?
--As i have said, I am on employment based petition, so with this, my employer is waiting for my license. With this, my life is on hold. I hope to be enlightened with this. Thank you so much.
just an update. i did checked nursys.com to see if my name was regitered already in CA BRN and thank God my name is finally there! its been a month since my school and i submitted the required documents including the NCLEX pass letter (which was expired already) and a photocopy of my SS card. Now im just waiting for them to mail me my RN license. Thank God everythings ok now. Hope those who are in the same issue as I was before would be able to see this post so they'd know their NCLEX exam is still valid! cheers o us and thanks to ms. azir too! God bless us all!
hi azirr05 / scarlet14 .. congratulations! finally the long wait is over for both of you.. ur now certified Ca RN! i just have a question, if it is not too much to ask from u.. i have the same case as yours-- passed NCLEX way back 2007, recently came to US last Month, finally got my SSN.. and im now on process of obtaining my license too.. im just wondering what additional new requirements did they ask u to submit to Ca BON? Thanks!

yes, i did..as of now the licensing analyst ask me to submit a copy of ssn card only.
you mentioned before about list of cases in o.r & d.r and the curriculum.... were you asked to submit these as well? because i was and my problem is that my school won't disclose detailed information on my cases. i'm afraid this would be a problem. anyone with the same dilemma?

recently I received a letter from BRN asking me to submit a copy of my SSN card, after they received the documents i submitted , i guess they are in process of reviewing my papers, hopefully no other problems may arise..about the OR,DR cases, i haven't received from BRN yet that they are requiring me to submit those, but i already talked to my school officers and inquired if those documents will be available in case i have to provide it for BRN, the school should provide you with those documents .. i guess it's a case-to-case basis.. i hope they wont ask me to submit the lists too.. you should have the same application# (or file #) in your current letter from BRN and on the old letter they sent you stating that you passed NCLEX
I have clarified with my analyst about the fact that i've already taken the exam and she dropped all other requirements which she originally asked. she also said she will have to transfer my documents to the old file #. they received my transcript last march 22 but still no word about my license.... hmmmm, i hope it's just a matter of time now. my analyst is on vacation right now and will be back wed next week. i just hope she'll work on it right away =) how's your license doing? do you have it already? i'm guessing you won't have any problem with your application after they receive your ssn =)

finally,i got my rn license card two weeks after they requested a copy of my ssn card. i did checked my license # through online @ ca brn (permanent lincense verification) a week before i received my licensed card. so you better check it. now you're using old file #, i'm 100% sure you'll get it and let me knw. wow, congratulations! i'm so happy for you. i'm actually checking every day. i also call their office but they tell me my transcript is still pending although it arrived in their office 3 weeks ago. if you don't mind me asking, who is your evaluator? mine is **********. i just hope she will attend to my papers already cause i've been jobless for 3 months now =(
