Pass NCLEX recently without Kaplan?

Published

I cannot afford to take Kaplan or any other expensive program so I'm going to design my own study plan. Please advise as to what books/study plan allowed you to pass. I ask for people who have recently passed because I heard the difficulty level was raised this year. So far I plan to use Kaplan NCLEX-RN 2010-2011 Edition: Strategies, Practice, and Review (Kaplan Nclex-Rn Exam), Saunders Q&A and Comprehesive Review 4th Ed.

I would like to add something else in with this. Any suggestions?

used the same books you used, also found exam cram to be very helpful passed my test in the bare minimum of questions. Good luck

how long after taking the exam do you know if you passed or not?

just found the answer, so don't bother responding to that.

I am a foreign-trained RN but have been out of nursing for centuries and am now at last scheduled to do my NCLEX-RN in January. Feeling freaked out because so much has changed and there is SO much to go through before I take the exam. Thanks for the suggestions people have posted - I work full time in an admin job, so don't have much time to study, but HAVE to pass this exam...

bigdaddy, which books are you referring to?

I am looking to buy the Davis current edition also. We are gearing up for our last 2 tests before our ATI/HESI and final. Just kind worried took a 100 question test the other night off of Saunders and only got 60%. Some of that stuff we had not even touched! (and it was like 12 am so I was tired also)

I had noticed Amazon has a discounted price on the new Saunders 5th edition and look in to buy it too, anyone got any feedback on that book yet (or the Davis)?
