((Hugs)).So sorry to here that you were not successful with Excelsior. As far as classes being tranfered, it can happen. I am in a RN-BSN program and they gave me credit for Transitions to professional nursing. It exempted me from having to take the very first nursing class in the program. Not sure if undergraduate would accept classes from the program but it won't hurt to try. Good luck in the future and please don't give up on your dream of becoming a RN.

I am so sorry...... Not to beat a dead dog but you have to forget you are an experienced nurse and just test... However, I am glad you are appealing the exam results. I took the exam twice and just passed this weekend it is such a beast. ISU is good so is another school Osh kosh ... trying to think of a few others.... just brush it off and dont get discouraged..... stay strong and focused on your goals :)

good luck .:)

1st I am sooooooo Sorry this has happened to you. And then I have to ask...

Why did you write a "Readiness" Care Plan? Hasn't anyone ever told you to stay away from them? Students don't know how to use them correctly. I tell my students to pretend they are not even in the book. Even Dr A tells students to stay away from them. The AEB you need for a "Readiness" dx statement has to be a specific quote from the patient not just a simple s/s. You could have written Risk for Deficit fluid volume or Risk for excess fluid volume... Or the actual 3 part dx statements Excess fluid volume or Deficit fluid volume if you had the labs or other s/s to be the AEB.

So depending on what your AEB was for the Dx statement you wrote... will determine your appeal. I hope for your sake it was a correct AEB.

I hope this sheds some light on the matter for you so you can continue your education and become the RN you want to be. ISU is an option and I know there is another school in W Virginia that does accept the EC credits...And there are others.
