has anyone applied to pasadena's rn program for fall 2013? has anyone been accepted into east pasadena's rn program? if so what was your pre-reqs grades? mines aren't all that great that's why i am so worried i will not get in because my pre-reqs gpa is only 2.79...do i even have a chance at getting in? please advise...so stressed out :( im not a bad student... i just don't have the time to study like im supposed to...i am a working full time single mother with two children and couldn't dedicate my time to so much studying...i was lucky if i even got 10 hours of studying a week

Should i be worried if i dont get an email on monday? Wow it took them that long to send a rejection email? They cant just let us know by monday if we werent selected? In other words, if i dont get an email on monday telling me i was selected for admission or an alternate, then it most likely means that i was rejected? Please advise

There's no point in being dramatic and freaking out over this. You're not rejected until you get the letter. None of us has any idea what goes on at pcc so we can't assume anything since they're doing things differently than in previous years. Look on previous cycles and see what days letters were sent out (hint: a lot later than this year). Hopefully you get in on mon and Ill see you at orientation but until you get that rejection, stop stressing out and keep positive thoughts! I'm rooting for you. GL

Has everyone already taken the TEAS test?

the reason why i seem dramatic and stressful like this is because i have been rejected from two nursing schools already. one was my home school that was primary choice, and i'm an alternate for another school but my number is high (88) so i have every right to feel like this...it sounds to me like you're in and i'm really happy for you if you are...sorry if i sound like a downer, but this has been a not so well roller coaster for me...but i still have high hopes and my faith is strong...i'm just going through it that's all...

Hi Keneesir!

Let's keep our heads up together and pray for each other. I'm in the exact same boat as you. I haven't received an email yet from Pasadena and I am also an alternate at Cerritos #80. I also got a rejection letter from Long Beach yesterday. I feel stressed just as you do but just try and believe that God has a plan for us. I'm older and have a child so I know what it's like to feel the way you do. Just stay positive and in due time, our time will come! Try and have a great weekend and think of something else! :)

Warmest regards.

Congrats to everyone who got in!! :)

Yesterday i emailed them and this is what they said "The emails are being sent out today(friday) and Monday for students who are admitted to the RN Program. During the next few weeks they will send out alternate and non-accepted students"

Long Beach City. They mailed me a letter saying that I was rejected because my application was incomplete, I didn't meet the requirements or I didn't meet the required GPA. All of which is not true. I'm going there on Tuesday in person to see if they messed up on my application. I have all my receipts and names of the people I turned in my stuff to. But I'm just gonna assume they already chose their people so I'm not trying to get my hopes up.

Just wanted to say that I applied to PCC, GCC, LA County, LAVC and LACC. I got a phone call on Tuesday from LACC and they said I have been accepted. Even though LACC is not my first choice, I am extremely happy and feel very lucky. I have not heard back from PCC yet. Fingers crossed.

Good luck to all of you!

Hang in there! Don't be sorry for freaking out... It's normal... Not knowing is the worst and this application process is full of not knowing.

I understand why you would ask "Should I be worried if on Monday..." (And I'm sure you're not the only one asking to themselves) but along the lines of what brew was saying is that it is totally pointless to worry now about whether you need to worry later. Just worry later...

And there'll be a chance for alternates even after Monday!

I get you, I wasn't selected for 4 programs that were E-MSNs and 1 ABSN, I wasn't selected or even wait listed for 2 ADNs so far (Rio Hondo and Cerritos) and I am totally feeling the anxiety as you are. I so badly want to get in and start moving forward and it really sucks having to wait and not hear when others are and you just want to know. Just have to keep your faith strong as you said, stay positive and don't give up...you're not alone, know that! I really pray Monday is a good day for all of us!

It's a crummy feeling, that sortof limbo where there's nothing to do but wait and worry. I think the reason they take awhile before they send rejections is because until they fill all the seats, they are still making admissions decisions.

And yes, Shye, I've taken the TEAS already. Do you think the folks who've already turned in scores were maybe the first to find out about acceptance? I wonder if that's why they're only doing some calls at a time rather than one mass email to all the acceptees...
