Hi,

I've heard that it's not recommended to work while enrolled as a student in an RN program. I'm applying for the Spring Semester at PCC and while I do intend to leave my current employer should I be accepted, I was wondering if there were people who made the attempt to work part-time or possibly in the summer.

Any opinions?

Yes, you can turn it in before the Teas. Only when you get accepted into the program, they ask you to send the TEAs electronically from the ATItesting website. They also set up a date for all accepted students to take the test if they have not taken:)Good luck!

Yes I am nervous yet excited at the same time for the start of school.

I'm not sure if we need to wear the scrubs on the 1st day, but I doubt it, so I probably wont.

As for getting two sets of scrubs, I would've done the same if it wasnt $100/set. Most likely I'll get another set after the 1st semester. I'm thinking one might not be enough since lab is probably gonna be more than 1 day/week, so having a 2nd set would come in handy for sure.

I got most of the required books and thats about it haha. I dunno what else we would need. Still need to shop for some more school supplies though. Hopefully there wont be a lot of expensive mandatory things that we need to get for labs.

Did you buy anything for the labs except for the Skill lab kit?I am so excited and also nervous too. We should get together and form a study group when school starts:)Good luck!!!

Yah they take awhile but once they ship it, you'll get it within 2-3 business days because they use UPS and charge us a fortune :(

I got mine last week, they were on backorder too...

They scrubs run big, so I hope your sizes are OK... I kinda regret getting two sets now...

We don't need to wear them on the first day right?

Have you gotten everything else yet??

I got the same problem with the order, but i have got them all. The scrubs run big to me too, and long( because I am short:(). Have you read any books yet? I think we don t have to wear them on the first day!

Besides the skills lab kit, books, and some school supplies I didnt get anything else for lab :lol2:. I didnt wanna spend extra $$ on lab stuff we dont need so I was just gonna buy things as school went on.

I'm totally down for a study group also:up:

You don't get a confirmation that they've received it. You'll hear from them 12 weeks + after the deadline if you've been accepted/denied/alternate :D

I turned mine in and haven't even gotten confirmation that they received it. Ugh

so I guess we wait. When do we hear accept/denial?

What happens if you get accepted but your teas score is low? do you get dropped from the program?

Did you take your teas yet?

Pcc makes you take the teas at their school after you get accepted. Gotta pass with a 62 or else they make you take a remediation plan. If you took it already I think you have to send them the transcripts. If score was lower I think you have to show them proof of that remediation plan.

Im taking it this Saturday and pcc is already listed as one of the schools to receive the results. So I think pcc wil automatically get my results whether i get accepted or not. Thanks for the info!

Just curious....Where did you all get your high school transcripts from?? I went to my high school's website and it directed me to another website called Parchment. I ordered my transcript from them...I'm hoping I get it in time to make the deadline! Good thing I live close to the school so if anything I can hand it in on 9/1/11.
