SO, Who is applying to Pasadena Fall 2014?

I think they pick more alternates than those accepted so its really a matter of luck to move from alternates list to class. Goodluck to all of us.

During the application period, about 100-120 LVN's apply and only 20 get chosen to start the 2nd cohort of the RN program. The rest are alternates or discarded.

They get half the number of accepted students . So if there is 25 accepted they roughly accept 12-13 alternates. And from what they told me the alternates are also lottery based so it doesn't matter what number you are on the alternate list you will be chosen randomly

I reallu hope i get in this time so knowing that people havent taken their TEAS gives me hope.

Ya, I was told that those who received entrance and haven't done their teas they get a chance at it. And if they don't pass that's when they choose alternates. Also, for those alternates who had their application complete including teas score, they are more likely to get called first before the alternates that don't have their teas score in. PCC wants a completed application and does not want to waste time on someone who hasnt taken their teas versus someone who already has. Hope this makes sense.

@YeseniaSoriano! Thank you for the good wishes, I took the TEAS today and I passed. I wish all of the alternates luck! The orientation is next Friday
