HEY EVERYONE!
Just wanted to see how many of us applied!
I turned in my application, certified mail 2 days ago.
So I am just waiting for confirmation....
My stats are:
Anatomy: A
Physiology: A
Microbiology: A
English: B
Math (?): B
Hows everyone else looking???
Let the wait begin!
I wonder how and when we will hear. You think they would snail mail e mail details/acceptances? I heard spring ia usually easier to get into than fall. maybe. We shall see.
Did you turn in high school transcripts? I didn't cause I have an associates degree. I hope that I didn't need them.
If you receive anything from then let me know! Likewise for me!
This wait is going be a killer! Good my email is linked to my phone. Just in case!
Oh fontucky?
Lol. Gosh waiting sucks. I try not to think about it but sometimes I just wanna start! I guess we are the only two applying for spring eh? Lol. A friend of mine applied to but she has all As except english and micro with Bs. Well im hoping that "spring is easier than fall" theme is true then!
I was reading some pervious threads about what grades people that got accepted to PCC and people who got all As except english with a B got denied then I read alternates getting in with Bs in sciences pre reqs but A in english get into the program. Very odd. I hope its not like this for spring because knowing my luck, I will be denied with a 4.0 in sciences and an alternate will get it choosen with a 3.0 in science. Just something to think about. You wont have to worry but gosh dang it when I took english 101 very early in my academic career I just wanted to get over with, with a decent grade, now this bites me in the ass.
Yeah I've read about those too.. We will just have to be patient. "Patience is a virtue" mindset! haha. Easier said than done though. Yeah I guess we are the only ones lol..that's at least something to make us feel like there's not 34983743357 people applying. haha. My friend applied too with B in english. I hope we all get in! Even though I have a 4.0 in sciences and 3.9 in other classes, I got a low teas score (79%), no degree, and no hospital/volunteer experience. We'll just have to wait :/

Oh wow thanks. I hope we all get in. Ugh waiting sucks. But I still dont understand why a B in english is so horrible. I prefer my future nurses to have a good anatomy phys micro knowledge over decent english. Ya know? Oh well as you said it wait time. Im hoping that no one really applied for spring. I have no volunteer or medical experience. Im a certified nurse assistant but its hard getting a decent job with it. Im so redoing the teas just in case PCC decides to take in a B average science person over my almost perfect application *sigh*
I just hope my app wasn't thrown out cause something was missing. They wont let you knowif they did anyway. I just wished I received confirmation that they received it. I just checked the certified mail tracking number. Cross our fingers we get in!
Oh you mailed your application? I submitted mine in person. Yeah I can't believe a B in english matters. I think it's only because it's so competitive nowadays since there are many people applying to the program. They want to limit the amount of people applying by having more requirements. Sucks for us.
They both graduated from Mt. San Antonio College. One graduated in 2007 and the other in 2009. They loved it. They said they were really prepared for the NCLEX. Yeah they love what they do. They always tell me that even though the job itself can be very stressful, being able to create an impact on their patients' lives especially when they appreciate their nurses is such a rewarding feeling. It's sad sometimes because some patients don't have families/friends that visit them, and so their nurses are the only ones that could really be there for them.

I feel the same. When an opportunity arises just take it! Is pcc close to you? I live in Glendora. Where the 57 and the 210 meets.
We could have an awesome study group eh?
