Pasadena City College ADN Fall 2023

Published

Hey Everyone! Just thought I'd make a thread for PCC's Fall 2023 ADN applicants. This is my first time applying and applications open up the week of April 1 - April 15. I have also applied to other schools like College of the Canyons, Pierce College, Glendale College, Antelope Valley College, Butte College. I wish everyone the best of luck!

Did you end up accepting the offer?

I accepted the offer however I want to see the welcome info/packet on Monday before I fully commit.

I plan to get out of the way of a waitlisted student as soon as I make a solid choice.

Has anyone been officially offered a waitlist spot?

They have one on their page from 2021, I googled "PCC ADRN student handbook" just for a reference for now.

Thank you. When I was waiting for a decision I read everything on their website including the handbook. ??

Can anyone tell me once they get their welcome packet to their PCC email if they get it today? Thank you!

I called the office and they said they're still sending out initial acceptances this week (regardless of alternates and whatnot). Just to easy any curiosity LOL

Got into alternate status... :(

I still haven't received anything ?

They said after the 17th so most likely sometime this week they'll send out the packed and the confirmation that they received your forms.

Had to check my spam-- I got it this morning about an hour ago.

I applied with 85 points. Don't think I'll get in, but fingers crossed.

I should have 92 points by next cycle though, so hopefully I'll get in eventually?

Best of luck, everyone!

Sorry for the spam, but would anyone know how high/low the probability would be for getting into the program as an alternate (based on past years)?

Thanks so much.

It really depends because it's hard to say. It's all dependent about how many people applied and how many accepted. Plus, they might have a list of alternates that they go by. There is no info as far and I know of online, it's just really not a set answer.

I think you have a great chance. I can't speak to PCC's past years but I think all of the alternates for ELAC and most of the ones for Chaffey were admitted.
