Hey Everyone! Just thought I'd make a thread for PCC's Fall 2023 ADN applicants. This is my first time applying and applications open up the week of April 1 - April 15. I have also applied to other schools like College of the Canyons, Pierce College, Glendale College, Antelope Valley College, Butte College. I wish everyone the best of luck!

I'll also be applying! I went to an info session and it was really helpful.
1) They don't care if you retake prereqs, just use latest grade.
2) They won't accept TEAS 6 after July. They don't have limits for retaking the TEAS.
3) Average admitted general ADN program students had 85 points.

THIS IS SO HELPFUL! Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge. Will this be your first time applying? Where else are you applying to?

Is the selection just the people with the highest points? If I have less than 85 does that mean I shouldn't apply?

Do you have 85 points or more? Do you know if they take a portion of the applicants in a lottery if they have less points? I think I have 80 points and am not sure if I should apply or not?
After reading this thread I'm also not sure if I should apply since I have less points than you. I think I will try anyway though bc you never know. On the nursing website for PCC it looks like they place students in a lottery if there are too many students with equal amount of points that exceeds the number of seats available in the program

I was so confused when you mentioned the points system, I had to go back to their website. Im looking at 75 points. Is this enough to apply? I mean I'll still try, but now I'm worried.
From what has been said on previous threads I guess 85 is the average amount of points that students get accepted with. I'm at 74 and I'm still applying, I've been applying to programs for 2 years at this point so I'm hoping I'll get in somewhere at some point ? Even if you don't get in here still apply to other ADN programs! There's a ton in the area so don't give up!

Thank you for the honesty, I just started applying last semester and had no idea the wait time for all these schools. I'll still apply to PCC. I'm so desperate ? I started applying to schools up north and am willing to move. At this point, I have an excel sheet just to keep up with all the school emails, ID numbers, and portals. So crazy.
OMG same!! Unfortunately for me I have to stay in the area bc my husband is stationed here. I was thinking about applying in the central valley though since that's where I am from and I have family there

Sorry for late reply but you should definitely still apply!! I applied to schools where I'm like 10-20 points away from average but you never know.
