I would have to say, not the midwest, at least in my area!

Florida. But wages are low, you'll be critically short staffed most of the time and technology is a century behind. Still using paper charts, cardexes etc.

The 'Sunbelt' cities with rapidly-growing populations tend to have nursing shortages.

.....and many more that I cannot think of.
I live in Dallas-Fort Worth and there are many jobs for nurses here.
