Part-time UMD program or Evening/Weekend CCBC, HCC program

Hi everyone! I'm looking for some advice on which program to look into...my options right now are Harford Community's program (I would be interested in the evening/weekend accelerated), CCBC's program (again the evening/weekend), or UMD's part-time program.

Is anyone in any of these programs that could shed some insight? I already have a bachelor's degree in another field, so I am going back to school. I currently work full-time, and I know that once I begin the program, I will have to cut back some of my hours and I know all of the programs say you can't work, but there is just no way, I unfortunately have to work.

I know UMD's program would ideally be better because you end up getting your bachelor's, but the part-time program is 5 years, and expensive! I'm just concerned that the HCC accelerated or the CCBC one might be too much to try to do while working.

Any experiences? Advice?

    Hi...I'm in my last semester of an evening and weekend program at a community college and I work full time..I also already have a bachelor's degree.. in the end you are going to have to get a bachelor's degree in nursing or master's degree in nursing..so it's really up to you how long you want to be in school..for me..I wasn't really in a rush..also my employer has been really flexible with me..allowing me to take days off work to attend mandatory simulations and home care clinicals, which we could only take during the day. Also, one of the courses we had to take for my program only offered classes one semester during the evening..so I had to take one day off work for 5 weeks to complete that course during the summer since I didn't want to risk not being able to get in it the following semester and not graduating in MAY...So I would say just make sure that your job is extremely flexible and you should be fine working and completing the evening and weekend program.

    If you already have a bachelors, check out UMBs CNL program. It's just under 2 years, but it's full time. It's pretty neat though, definitely poke around on their website if you haven't already

    Is time a concern for you? My understanding is that UMD's program takes 4 years when completing part time. That was my hesitation in the program.
