Parkland Hospital Summer 2017 GN

Hello!!

I am a senior nursing student graduating in May 2017 from Maine. I am moving to Dallas after graduation and want to do a new graduate nurse residency program. I was wondering if anyone knows when the positions for Parklands' New Grad programs for the summer 2017 cohorts will be posted?

The manager works on saturdays that's why. I currently work on the floor. Is it 7 trauma?

Yes it's 7th floor, with Dulce Lopez. How do you like working that floor? Any tips?

I love working here and would have loved to stay, but my passion is more with babies. Dulce is a very great person. The team work here is awesome; there is this spirit everyone has that makes me sacred to work somewhere else because I might not find it anywhere else. The scheduling is awesome as well; she is very flexible.

Is there anyone on here wanting to go to PCU/SICU? I was offered a position there this week. Does anyone know how the hours of the residency work? Is it 5 days a week during the classroom phase? Thank you in advance.

Hey! So I've been trying to search for a job description for Med surg trauma. This may be a silly question, but what type of patients are seen? Like gunshot, MVA? Thank you!!

Because of the Medsurg, we typically get all kinds of patients including telemetry, but we are primarily gunshot wounds, stab wounds, mvc, motorcycle, pedestrian collision, crush injury, and thoracic.

I'm not sure if they're done making interviews. But I have an interview with 7th trauma tomorrow.
