Parkland Fall 2013 Residency

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Has anyone applied to the fall residency? I applied but haven't heard anything either way, however I noticed some new listings within the past few days that say they start October 2013 (I was under the impression it started in September.)

I called and left a message with one of the recruiters, but now i'm wondering if they pushed the start date back because of the government survey. If they didn't pass they probably wouldn't have hired a bunch of new nurses.

Anyone that's applied heard anything yet?

I applied for the ER residency earlier this week. I received an email today asking if I was still interested in interviewing and that the start date is October 28th. That's all I've heard.

I also received an email from Parkland today requesting and interview for their ER Residency starting in late October. I will not be accepting due to already taking another offer in my preferred specialty. Good luck everyone!

Did they call you or did you get an email?

Got an email a couple of hours ago. There are still no interview dates for the ER residency.

Does anyone know GN start pay for Parkland SICU?

I got the SICU email as well...

Parkland is more competitive than other hospitals in the area as far as pay goes. I would guess $24-$26 an hour.

I got an email too!

Parkland starts at $24 and change for GNs, and more if you have experience.

Hey guys! I'm so happy I finally found this discussion, it feels good to know that I'm not the only one waiting out there! :-) I applied for SICU residency position a couple of days ago and haven't heard anything yet. My question is what did u submit with your application (like a cover letter, transcripts)??

i too got an email from sicu. interview is on tuesday! i submitted a cover letter and my resume with my application.

Applying a couple of days ago might have been too late...... the email we received said that we only had 24 hours to accept an interview. But who knows!! Good luck!! I think I only submitted my resume, but I have experience. As a new grad, submit everything you have, haha!!
