Parkland Fall 2013 Residency

Published

Has anyone applied to the fall residency? I applied but haven't heard anything either way, however I noticed some new listings within the past few days that say they start October 2013 (I was under the impression it started in September.)

I called and left a message with one of the recruiters, but now i'm wondering if they pushed the start date back because of the government survey. If they didn't pass they probably wouldn't have hired a bunch of new nurses.

Anyone that's applied heard anything yet?

Hey everybody,

I was offered the ER Nurse Resident position and have decided to accept. I was just wondering if anyone else had as well and if so are you looking for places to live? I am from Phoenix and will be moving out there and don't know the area or people out there yet. Please let me know if anyone has any advice on this. Thank you :)

Hi khollin 757 congratulations, I have accepted an offer as well but coming from out of states as well and looking for advise as well. Let me know if you hear of a good area. Thanks

Hi kerasha2001! Congratulations to you to! That is awesome. But I will definitely keep you posted!

Hello you too, Congratulations!!! I know girls usually like to find a place in 'Uptown, Dallas'... It is very close to the hospital and you have access to the katy trial, bars, shops, restaurants,...etc. I have heard it is very nice, but I am not sure as I am not from Dallas. When I looked at a lot of the listings, they lean on the pricey side because of the great location and luxury as well.

My friend mentioned Camden farmers apartment to me very pricey... Hopefully i can find something within my range.. BTW anyone knows what's the starting pay? Also you guys took the prove it test yet, the 40 questions??

yup. Prove it! test complete. I wonder when they are going to tell us the starting rate? I feel like I don't officially have the job yet still LOL...

Giov I feel the same too I'm scared of giving my resignation letter and get an email saying oops it was an error lol. Hopefully we'll hear something tomorrow

Specializes in ICU.

I'm hesitant to give my two weeks until I've signed something! I would love to have enough time to take a week off in between.

Parkland rate is around $25 plus shift difference. Are you experienced RN or New? It could be more if you are experienced RN. Congratulation to you all.

Hi kerasha2001 I know Camden in the Design District is very nice it's about 15minutes from Parkland and there's a bus you can catch to work I was told it's a very short ride. Good Luck
